Hi!

I usually use Amplitube2 threw Live and i know how to automate stuff. But I wanted to automate the WahWah pedal and I just can't do it! There's no slider for it, I press the midi button, move the WahWah pedal and it won't select for linking to my midi controller.. I can automate other sliders in Amplitube2 threw Live, but all the WahWah's sliders seem to be missing.. Any suggestions?           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz

I took a look at my couple and can't find one for the wah either. However I threw the Jimi Hendrix version of the Amplitube into live and it did have a proper slider for controlling the Wah Pedal. Possible midi control of the wah pedal is a new feature in the Jimi Hendrix edtion? Although that seems weird to me.           New Album: Jikkenteki - Flights Of Infinity

We making psy-porno now?

Nah I really have nothing useful to add here. I always used my foot... But then I'm just a small minded axe head who only thought he could use it with a guitar.

Good plug for basslines though.

In live can't you assign the wah to a midi remote like a slider or knob or something using the midi mapping option? Or isn't it on the list?

Did you say that.. yeah I didn't read properly... must stop drinking...

I'm still posting this though!

I truly recommend!!! That shit is bad for you..

No the wahwah isn't on the list... But I've got Amplitube Jimmy Hendrix version and I got it working. I don't know if its Amplitube 2 or live's fault.... But is seems a little odd that all the commands an live form a perfect rectangle.. Probably live can only sipport a certain amount of functions from each vst... Since Jimmy Hendrix version is smaller theres less functions and the wahwah could come in the list...

I don't need it now but still if anyone can find out why this happens please reply

Bow-chicka-wow-wow.

70's porn anyways

I've noticed a few plugs in live where some parameters arent on the list. And some there are on lists in live but not on others. I think its one of those freak things. Like some of my plugs won't work at all in one sequencer, but will work perfectly fine in others.

In Cubase there you can access the parameter to automate the wah pedal in Amplitube 2, so the problem with Albeton Live seems to just be that it doesn't appear on the list. There should be someway to do it, but I haven't figured out the work-around yet.           New Album: Jikkenteki - Flights Of Infinity

Just spent some time on the Albetone forums and it seems that live only lists the first 128 parameters, so the wah simply got lost. No one there seems to have any work around for it that I've found yet. The Hendrix version's wah works fine so maybe use that? Elsewise do your wah parts in some other sequencer and then import a wav of it? Not the best option but... (shrugs)           New Album: Jikkenteki - Flights Of Infinity

I suspected that (but there should be a way to see the other functions..) It doesn't just not show you it, it doesn't let you assign it do the midi knob. The jimmy hendrix version is alot smaller, so every function shows..

Well, I'm solving the problem by buying a X V-amp pedal
( http://www.behringer.com/X-V-AMP/index.cfm?lang=eng )

But this has become a live defect and they should know about it and resolve it...           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz

I had a V-Amp for a couple years but I sold it. For me the sound didn't really compare to the better software simluators. Anyways, Live seems to be aware of the issue, they just don't seem to be doing anything to fix it.           New Album: Jikkenteki - Flights Of Infinity

Well, I understand that no hardware I can buy for less than 200€ can be better than a software that emulates high-end quality hardware... But I'm not a professional artist, neither do I want to be. So the equipment I buy is for fun and hobby reasons only: and I don't have 300€ to buy a "normal" floor modeler..

Since you had a V-Amp, what can you tell me about it? If you kept it for a couple of years, then it should at least do the job....

What did you buy next and why? ( I'm a newbie in guitar modeling )

Also, Behringer has a lot of small individual pedals you can combine, would I be better of with those?

It's just too bad you cant use amplitube with a floor midi controller (with assigned buttons to change between presets, the pedal, etc.) If they would just make it totally midi compatible (even in the stand alone version) it would be by far the best modeler... (except for the little problem of latency, it's slightly noticeable, but thats the price of electronic music..)

By had it for a couple years I should have said, I owned it for a couple years, but for most of that time it just sat around collecting dust. Pretty much the minute I got Amplitube LE in a software package with my soundcard it was listed on yahoo auctions and sold. It was terrible I guess, but as a guitarist I was never close to satisfied with the sound, especially the distortion (my full guitar gig is back in America and just too expensive to ship over to Japan). Since then I've bought Amplitube 2 and the Jimi Hendrix edition of Amplitube. I've also bought NI's Guitar Combos, which is a few select pieces from their Guitar Rig software. I'll get that eventually when I upgrade to complete, but so far I find the Amplitube series to sound a little more "real".

If you want to go hardware, I've heard a lot of good stuff about Sansamp, but I haven't actually tried it myself (although my old roommate had the bass version and it seems pretty decent).           New Album: Jikkenteki - Flights Of Infinity

Maybe it's just my particular Crybaby wah, but it is noisy as hell: hissing and humming biiiigtime.
