After organizing 11 events from 2006-2007, Mark and Pete have retired from Fugu Trance, so we're putting the Fugu name to rest. Squid Collective is by one of the co-founders of Fugu Trance and seeks to continue organizing private psytrance events in the Fugu style.
The very first Squid Collective event will be An Aquatic Adventure into the darkest depths of the sea on Saturday, December 1st. Mubali, and our favorite Texas djs will be your underwater guides for the evening.
This indoor location will be transformed into an aquatic playground. Behold the giant squid looming over the dancefloor, ready to ensnare unsuspecting dancers with its tentacles. Beware the electric jellyfish whose sting is capable of sending full-grown adults into a dancing frenzy.

I especially liked Mubali's new material. Completely different from his previous releases with much fatter basslines and more dynamic song structure. The one track with the sneeze sample is hilarious.
Also, excellent set from Pete, one of the best dj sets I've heard. Great job transitioning from powerful nighttime stompers to twilight to morning.
Our next event is the Lantern Festival on 16 Feb with Primordial Ooze. More information will be posted on the website soon.
