Hello to all of the people in this forum. I am glad to hear that Astropilot will play in Samothraki, who i have not heard live before. As for the organisers of Aurora i hope everything goes well and at the 23 of Aug the festival will be set up properly not as they did last moment at Aurora 2008. I attended another festival in Greece near Ancient Olympia and it was a disaster from the organisation point of view and what the festival was supposed to give to the people. I hope mr. Aurorians will be the group of Greek people who will revive the psytrance scene in Samothraki and give is an excellent festival which will become one of the major festivals on the Mediterranean region. Hope the best, and cant wait to come to Samothraki (22nd Aug flight from Athens) |

this was the worst festival for summer. I had the worst time of life. First thing i reached and it was really bad vibes on the gate.
it was announced it was 80 euro for that day but they wanted 100 euro from me.. but it was already 2 am.. so i dint want to pay.. they said i have to wait till 8 am.. so i asked them if it is announced any where.. then the security guys started acting very rude.. one of these security was infront of me as if he wanted to beat me or some thing..
next day .. i went out to buy things from the market.. there were two police ment on their bike.. waiting.. then one of the greek security screamed.. i dont know wat he said.. then the police came after me.. and they checked.. they found NOTHING on me.. but they took me to police station.. and asked me to bring all the drugs out of the festival.. i denied every thing.. coz i had nothing.. and i dint even take any thing till then..
just because these mother fuckers told some thing to the police they were really after me. then they took my details.. and told me to go back to the festival and take all my drugs out and bring it back to them.. or tell them some names of the dealers who has... so i went back to the fest.. i stayed there one more night.. in the morning.. i packed up my bags.. and i went out from the beach area.. to asprovalta and caught the bus to thessoloniki and from there i went to athens and left the country..
this festival is full of bad people.. ran by some greek kid who has no clue about trance culture with some french fagot..
they are there only for the money.. and those stupid securities are there to wank on their ego..

Hi everybody! we won't meet at the festival!
I'd like to say big THANKS to organizers, because they did everything to be late for make me come to this festival.
They knew all the terms and deadlines, but didn't make money transfer in time, so I missed the day to give documents for visa. Then I gave them one more chance and began to conversate with the tourist agencies to make more expensive but faster visa. Several days ago Billy aka Aura (he conversated with me all the time) promised to make money transfer " very-very soon". But when I said to them, how much it costs - 230 euros - they dissapeared.
Now it's no time to for them to improve the situation. My advice to all the musicians - do not work with these organizers without full pre-payment and so on.
As for Aurora team personally, let everybody know that you gain popularity by all these names and projects in line-up, and then just DON'T make the musicians to come. Really, good work! |

i am going for the first time to aurora festival and first time to samothraki island.
i have a lot of quastions hopefully someone here can help me.
first the official site of Aurora fest has very little information and the site is very heavy and constantly crushes but anyway.
1. i would like to ask if i can bring food and drinks and water to the camping site of the festival.
2. if i come with car where i will park and will it be near the camping site.
3. the setival is on the beach so it will be possible to swim in the sea without any limitations.
4.are there anyother beaches near the festival which won't be a festival ground and less populated with people.
5. how can i make reservation in advance for the ferry from Alexandroupolis to Samothraki. can someone give me direct link in english for the site of the ferry company where i can make this reservation.

This is an official statement by the organization of Aurora Festival. We are sad and shocked to realize the slander taking place by our enemies, people that are jealous by the success of our festival.
All that mentioned in the above post is a complete science finction scenario!!! Mr marcello's IP address has already been logged and this issue will take the way of justice.
