Title
Auricular - Time (PLUSQUAM RECORDS 03/11/2004)
Producer:
Daniel Vernunft (Auricular/Shiva Chandra)
Thomas Johanshon (Auricular/Dj Mapusa Mapusa)
Style:
Progressive Psychedelic Trance
Links:
http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/plu/plu1cd107.html
http://www.plusquam-records.de/
Track List:
01. Money Machine
02 Snatcher
03 Only Time
04 Twisted Cruiser
05 Luck Hunter
06 Magic Mushroom RMX
07 Some Million Worlds
08 Brilliant Cut
09 Coutchrutscher

My subjective Introduction:
After unsuccessful Shiva Chandra's Subsonic which was too soft/pointless and amateur DJ Mapusa Mapusa solo works, comes Auricular - Time. The combination of progressive psychedelic and rock with great percussive work. Softer than i've expected but must admit that the world been changed since last Auricular album as well as Plusquam's direction in music. So must be nostalgia then.
Any Auricular's fan can recognize them from first minutes. I felt it a bit inspired by Native Radio and Fabel, or maybe them were inspired by Auricular.

Favorites:
Snatcher: agression
Only Time: agression
Magic Mushroom RMX: Remix of "Pilzvergiftung" (Fungus Poisoning), no more words

Pros:
Good sound production
Danceble
Great speech timing and sample choise

Cons:
-Do not have anything special, "hit"
-Magic Mushroom RMX, the sample(ouauaua) which made Auricular known at least for me was reduced by volume same as remix became much more softer than original.
-TOO SOFT

Auricular is hard, german, night music, am i wrong ?

Rank 8/10

I think it's great morning music

"Money Machine" is a great take on Pink Floyd's "Money"

I think "Magic Mushroom RMX" is great           new Hadal Drop album on the way

if you don't have the last one get in touch

Got it recently from psyshop and was pleasantly suprised with it. I found it somewhat bland at first listen, but repeated listening (I just listened to it again) reveals a truly nice album. I definately like this style, it's a lot like Shiva Chandra, only a bit more coherent and funky. Great use of samples and nice sounds throughout the album. A good release from Plusquam and no mistake. Definately worth the money.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."
