well it took some time but Daniel Vernunft and his dude Mapousa Mapousa are back in buisness with this chunky 12" inch ,

released on Plusquam Records

on the A side we have : Bucketgroover - a smooth rolling morning stomper with tweaky Fx sounds and some nice Club Leads funny voice samples and some kind of animal screamings .

on the B side we have : Couchrutscher - reminds a bit on former Auricular sound maybe becoz of the bassline walk , also in the smoother side of trance , very groovy structures with an atmospheric break in the middle wich shows us how bride the sun can shine also in germany , overall a little bit more club orientated ...

well overall a masterpiece of soundengineering what else could we expect from these guys ...

i wonder about no replies at all

indeed bucketgroover is a great track, somehow others call it morning track - i could listen to it any time.

couchrutscher is the real morning tune, nice, but not my case.

but definitely worth a try, only because of the great a-side

A late reply, as I finally got to listen to this EP. Again, flawless progression from the Auricular duo, but that's to be expected. Top notch soundwork, again, I'd expect nothing less.

Bucketgroover - Auricular are at their best with less chords and more dark pounding. Dissapointing. This will definately work wonders on the dancefloor in the morning, but not more than that. Son Kite for advanced listeners.

Couchrutscher - Much groovier, smoother work on the percussion, and less focus on chords. Much better than the last one IMO. Smooth buildup to an emotional and groovy peak.

Anyways, I don't like the direction Auricular have taken, this stuff is much less psychedelic than their last works, much clubbier. When will we get another track in the style of Pilzvergiftung?           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

Auricular crue are very admirable, though this time they disappointed me.

I myself am still playing their old stuff in parties, but this one to my opinion is one step back.

Light&Love.
