August parties and festivals.

OK, have run a search in the festivals and UK parties sections for events between 13th - 20th August and am not coming up with very much.
The twins are away on holiday with family that week so money depending (strict budget this year :-(), I would be interested in catching a few psy gatherings and will probably be more in a position to travel if I have time to book tickets (I live in the very north of England so this isn't usually possible). Indoor/Outdoor, parties/festies - I don't really mind, but I would like to do something in my week off.
There is a small chance I will be visiting my father in London as he has been ill recently and that might be a good place to start but there doesn't seem to be a great deal going on in the London thread either.
I will also have another week free sometime in August when the kids go camping with their father but I don't have the dates for that yet, so actually ANY information would be a big help.
Apologies to mods if this info already exists. If you have to close or move my thread because I've missed something, please PM me so I know where to look. I'm keeping my eye on the Psyforum calender but as yet there is very little pegged for August.
Anyway, have a very happy summer boys and girls, might see you on the dancefloor XX

Cheers JC, I've just checked it out. What a great website!!
Unfortunately the dates are slightly iffy as they coincide with the Return Of The Spawn, and also the ticket price is quite high once I take into account train travel, money for snacks and tea over the weekend etc...BUT I'm definitely interested so we'll see how it goes. The setting sounds absolutely beautiful, very peaceful.
If I do come along, I'll dig out my baking hat

There should be a quite large Sheffield contingent there - loooks a great way to end the summer - a good bit of dance (Sunrise are doing one of the days plus Banco Da Gaia) and some good roots/folky stuff - plus Zounds (a real blast from the past!)

Yeah, there's a chance my drumming group might be doing a short set so I was interested in checking out what people thought of it. All sounds good from your description - was thinking it might be a good way to close the summer holidays. Not too far away either...mmmm...very possible...! |
