Hey,
http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/FirewireAudiophile-main.html
I´m looking to get a M-Audio Firewire Audiophile, but I have one small question:
If I disable my current soundcard, will it be replaced by the m-audio in all aspects, like, windows will use it like a regular soundcard??
is it going to play my videos, games, etc etc etc with no problems?
tks |

do you think they will sell their soundcards if it kills many functions in a pc? i know this feeling with the first soundcard and the pc , but from now on you have to learn to deal with the world of computers. everything will work and sometimes you have to find out how.
by the way, quit nice card for the price. i use it for my labtop one year now and no problem. just one thing botheres me; my specs say its bus-powered via firewire (no powerfeed needed) but this is not working. and thats really a pity because while traveling it saves me not only a powerblock but also a transformator because often i am in areas with 110 instead of 220v. so check this out and maybe tell me if yours is really buspowered. |

Windows Sound mapper - or how it was called, can use any soundcard installed on your computer, to play its sounds.
