I can think of many ways to use this for trance tunes, just by looking at the demo. The GUI inspires for sound design that would be cumbersome to delve into otherwise.

looks very promising indeed! very nice metallic timbres coming out of da machine
however, the concept actually is not soo new. more or less the same as the reactable synth which has a hardware and software version out already:

anyway, this is taking it one step further for sure and brings "modular" to a whole new level and i see great potential for that..
you can basically trigger anything with anything. and it seems as sound design gets really playfull and intuitive from there.
playing it "like a real instrument" as stated in the vid still sounds like a bit too much though..

This is like reaktor but with MUCH better workflow. I think this should be a synth as making it a DAW will be too complicated to compete with the established ones.
