Hello everyone.
I have been listening here for quite a long time and this is my first time posting here. I have searched the forum for a good aswer to my question but so far I have found scant info that might give me a solution to my problem.
The thing is:
I have been creating my tracks using mostly audio samples I found out there on the web ( Pavel's kick samples pack too [:)] btw ty! ) but just like someone else mentioned here in another thread, fluctuations occur specially using ableton. If you keep samples apart in each bar, its not that noticeable but if you group them together it enhances those fluctuations and it all starts to sound like crap.
I've read someone saying that one can always load those samples into ableton's simpler/sampler so that all you do is to draw midi to play those samples and that actually works bealtifully.
BUT...
When I listen to those samples preview it sounds a lot better than when I use it on the sampler.
Then, I decided to try out other samplers and it seems to me that Image Line's DirectWave is the most respected sampler nowadays and I'm considering buying it.
But since I couldn't load my sample files into DirectWave, I didn't have the chance to test for the sound quality difference and either if it will load those files since they are not part of a library or anything.
The question is... I mean, The questions are:
a) Am I wasting my money if I buy DirectWave?
b) Can I load Scarbee J'Slap on directwave?
c) Is there anyother option I should consider besides DirectWave?
d) Is it better of keep loading my samples individually to each bar? So far I've done many things using that approach but it's a pain in the arse if you decide changing all your kicks for another one.
e) Which one is better? Mac or PC? ( just kidding! )
I hope my questions are not that lame and thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
Cheers |

Well I just bought DirectWave from IL web shop. Now I have to wait until they process my order then I'll try it unlimited.
If this doesn't work right I'll donate my gear and go back to give garage punk rock bands a try. It's gotta be cheaper anyways lol
