on a live p.a.
Is it better to keep your midi compositions as they are(opened vst), or would u rather record it and put in an audio track?

i've been questioning this because of the cpu's processing and the sound quality also.

Well, it depends on how you want to work. There is no better way. When you have worked long enough you will discover which way is better for you and you won't need to ask. It is like asking which is better, falafel or shawarma? Which do YOU like better?

Probably Audio tracks will be less CPU/Memory consuming than VST and more stable. But the only things you'll be able to play with are the effects on the audio channels.
Or you can find the golden path. Leave only 1, 2 or 3 channels on VST and play with them live. Parts like the main lead or something like that.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me
