I use audio kontrol 1 with cubase sx 3, and only using vst, no hardware.
Before that I used M-audio Audiophile 2496, which uses internal mixing/routing, that means the card could record its own outputsignal because the output signal is internally routed to the inputbus.
In Cubase I set a midi track which played a vst instrument.An audio track with the right routed bus(internal line in) could record the vst. For the audioobjects input routing i could choose the internal linein and so I could record.
But now with the Audiokontrol 1 it only offers one of the two lineins, where you have to connect an instrument or ...
I don't know if the audiointerface offers me internal mixing/routing like the maudio audiophile 2496. I did not find anything in the manual.
I want to know if the Audio Kontrol 1 could do the same, it's more expensive than the other soundcard, and i hope it will do.
If it does, i hope somebody can tell me how to set it up with cubase, so that it works.
