Cubasing is like Freebasing, just with audio.
Both cost more than you can afford, and leaves you sitting in a dark room with no life, craving for more.

Hello,
some time ago I made a list of OSX Editors:
http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/103172/forum/2

- In don´t like peak
-The power of audacity lies it´s customizeable keyboard shortcuts. Spreading cuts to a new Track and saving all sliced with one click rock! but it looks a bit like freeware...

-adobe soundbooth´s sonoscope looks nice, and the graphical sound filter is kinda´nice.

-dsp quattro, I didn´t liked that much.

-WaveEditor, the advertising is somehoe "funny", what they say about the unique layers function lol

I now ended up in editin 99% of my samples direct in my MV8000. Audiofinder is a nice tool to browse sounds!
Hav Fun!
