Hey guys, I could really use some advice right now. I have encountered something completely new. I'm playing my track, then there is a loud pop or two from my speakers, then the cursor stops. When I hit play again, there is no more audio. This has been happening all night. I have resarted several times, verified permissions, checked preferences... even rebuilt the directory of my Glyph.. all to no avail. I'm still getting the dropouts. I really hope one of you knows what could be causing this because I'm lost.
Power Book 1.5ghz, 2gb ram, Logic 6.4.3, OS 10.3.9, Motu 828 and a Glyph. Thanks in advance!

Hello aldus, you are into system 10.3.9 , is good for logic 6.4.3 ?
i dont make my up date for the 10.3.9, & into the logic forum they say : is quiet ok for logic 7 but ...... who knows into 6.4.3 ......

Be carefull with the automations "points",,,, when the first point are not in the start of the track, the parameter is not in the right first place, when your level is "automated" be carefull @ this stuff.
Sorry for my bad english

Are you using the Es-2?? When I was working with my friends on their Mac with Logic 7 a similar bug was occuring.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Thanks for the replies. As an update, now the drop out is happening while the cursor keeps moving. I don't use the ES2, so that's probably not it. The automation points might be a problem, so I will check those. As for 10.3.9, I was worried about that too. I just downloaded the new Apple pro application support update, so maybe that will fix compatability issues with 10.3.9.
Thanks for the help guys!

I just checked Logic 6.4.3 with OS 10.3.9 and it works perfectly using my M-Audio 410.
Try to switch to the built in audio card and see if it's any better. You might have an issue with the 828.           "a new art came into my mind which only you can create, the Art of Noises, the logical consequence of your marvelous innovations." Russolo, 1913

I was hoping it was the drivers for the 828, but the driver update didn't help. Anyay, all is well now. Big thanks to all that replied. The Apple pro application support update seems to have cured it.
