AU vs. VST and Prophet 5 free emulator

I suppose this question should be already been made over and over but I can't find it in the forum search..
I would like to know what is faster between a VST and a AU file.
The second question if somebody knows a free Prophet 5 emulator (for macosx) or a soundbank with pro-53 sounds?

if youre on a mac,i would use au,apple made it for mac so why use vst!! |

Yep I'm on a Mac, I guessed that too but I can't understand why they keep doing vst for pc & mac plus audio units..
Anyway is possible that cubase vst is faster.. it depends on the development..
Any website with some tests?

well we need au for logic and vst for cubase,u cant use au in cubase nor vst in logic,maybe it would be better to use vst in cubase on mac,not shure thaugh!! |
