it's time to rock North America with Skulptor (high-end records) he is the MOST acclaimed artist from Brazil at the moment. with a psy LIVE PA that is killer!!
Skulptor is Lipe Forbes. He was born on the 4th of november 1982 in São Paulo. Lipe started as a dj in 1996 playing dance and house music at clubs in São Paulo. In 1999 after changing his dj style to trance Lipe starts to produce some tracks in his home pc and after an audio engineering course, Lipe decides to build his studio.
By this time Lipe had all his inspiration from the trance and pop music he use to listen, like Paul Oakenfold, dj Sasha, Slacker, BT and Front 242. In the end of 2001 Lipe releases one of his first tracks, the Mdmario, under the project name Insane Tubulators, the track that uses the samples of the game Mario Bros, became a hit all over the world giving strength to keep him going.
After the boom of 2002 Lipe decides to create a new project, more serious, once that now he has more confidence on his music. Then in 2002 Skulptor was born. Skulptor tries to bring a full hi-tech experience with many different influences of music, it tries to create a new style of full on trance mixing strong club grooves with hi-tech synth lines, blasting the dance floor every performance.
Throughout this working years, lipe had the time to create many side projects to develop many different kinds of music and style. Oracle and Efexor are good examples of this. Today Skulptor has performed on the most respectful events all over the world and after releasing his first trance album, The Summer is Over, Lipe now researches sounds and cultures to develop a new style for his next releases including Chill Out, House and Pop Music tracks.
