whoaaaaaaa! what an INTENSE weekend. I haven't seen that much rain since Gil back in May. We were def fighting the nothing the entire weekend. Huge thanks to this very awesome community of folks for bringing myself and my wife out to rock you guys. I'm sorry the rain took it's toll on the stages, with one being under water Saturday night, but I saw that determination was at the top of the list and the party remained!! Thanks to everyone who was there to check out my set on both stages..sorry I had to play 2 different times before my set was finished, and I hope the other talent wasn't upset about it!
Vampy and Jimo were my favorites from last weekend's trance sets. Keep it goan guys!
We thank you for your hospitality! Artists I will always vouch for Atrium Obscurum! They take great care of you.

That was a fun party considering it dumped about 10-12 inches of rain on us that weekend.. Was nice to see the peeps get together to build the rain shelter over the main stage dance floor! I realize it was a collective of many psy crews in texas who joined in and made this event one of the most memorable I have experienced. It was nice to see everybody working together!
Cinder's sets were def the highlight of the event...Ofocurse many other dj's played amazing sets as well.. Sorry that PsyKocid and Uhm didnt get to play! I was def interested in hearing some psycore in the morning from PsyKoCid and Uhm always plays solid sets..
Big thanks to Force Majeure and Catopric for helping dig those trenches to drain that pond under the main stage. How many dj's do you know who would dig in the pouring rain at the wee hours of the night? yeah we were bored but We had that music pumpin at 5 am sunday morning.. twas too quiet out there.
Thanks AO for going for it, rain or shine..

Hardcore experience. I really enjoyed freaking out, and seeing others freaking out, to Cinder's set in the apocalyptic environment of nonstop rain and flooding. Music matched the setting perfectly-total madness.
Cool stuff, thanks to the ppl who made it happen. |

Geez where do I start....
This gathering was a test of our mettle and our ability to face an overcome adversity. The rain/The Nothing came at us in full force and provided many hurdles. Regardless though the community came together and always found a way to make the best of what was at hand. Our intention for this event was centered around just that, strehgthening our community and it shone through in all its glory.
I thought it was funny when we were setting up the main stage on friday and tried digging into the ground to create my Swamp of Sadness. I had our little Artex and was ready to be creative, but the ground was to hard and I didn't have the right tools nor enough water to waste. Alas, all I had to do was wait a few hours because the heavens opened up and by saturday night we certainly had our swamp!!!
There are soooooo many people to thank. I would like to start with my wife for being there every step of the way and for sharing the creative juices that was at the center of the genesis for this intentional gathering. An immense amount of love and thanks goes out to Keith and Laine. You both took the time to sink your teeth into this vision. You both brought so much to the table in creative energy, time, and everything else that you had to offer. You are both integral parts of Atrium Obscurum and I am so glad to be able to share these experiences with you two. Thanks to Alex and Katie for getting Cinder's wife Casey to the gathering, and for all the work you put in on making saturday night on the main stage happen. It was really wonderful to be able to finally connect with you both in a way that fosters a future friendship!! Thanks to Jimmy from Austin, the non-dj, for all your hard work and help that you put in. It wasn't asked of you to do so, but you jumped at the opportunity to be a part of it all. Thanks to Fletcher & Donna & the food lady. Your presence at this gathering was a welcomed addition in all that you individually brought to the table. From your energy, to the sustenance, to the altar pieces....it was all perfect and I look forward to extending opportunities to you all in the future. Thanks Nick for being there when we needed you, and for taking it upon yourself to be the helping hand that you are. Your enthusiasm for doing what you could was a welcomed sight. Thank you Lydia & family for deciding not to kill me when you arrived Thank you as well for working the gate with my wife, and spreading the most beautiful love that you do Thank you Sean and Dawn for providing the deco on the second stage. I wasn't in the right place at the time to truly express my gratitude for all the hard work that you two willingly did. Your contributions don't go unrecognized and I am very happy to have our friendship and to have you as a part of our tribe. Thank you to Jesse and Josh for providing some integral parts to any gathering of this nature. Your individual generosity is a breath of fresh air, and I am happy to have been long time friends with both of you Thank you to Jimo, Mark & Pete for digging the trench behind the main stage dj setup to allow the water to drain out and make that space usable again. Thank you to all my psy family and to all those whom I haven't been able to truly sit down and connect with. Without all of you these events wouldn't hold the power and the meaning that they do. We provide the foundation and the colors and you all create the picture. You all came out and stuck it through as the Nothing swept through and tried to destroy what we had built/are building. Thank you for being open to the experience and the intention that we had laid out, and thank you for being willing participants in our journey. I hope I didn't forget anyone, and if I did....please, please know that we in AO appreciate what you do/did and that we would love to see you out again. Lastly, a big thanks to the rain. You may have hit me in my pocket, but you also allowed our intention to be lived out. I, as well as others, are still coming into that knowledge that has been bestowed on us through this experience and we are grateful for it.
We had the best of times dancing in the rain to David/cinderVOMIT's set. It was very powerful and unique. I wish it hadn't have been interrupted, but I am thankful that it was saw completely through in the morning. Other sets that stood out to me were Jeff/Vampyromorpha's on friday night. Talk about some crazy, intense music. I was so happy to pick up on you playing some music that you held back for the right set/setting. What I caught of Jimo's set on friday night was great as well. Catfish, you played a nice down tempo set. I wasn't actually at the stage for it, but I knew you were playing and enjoyed it. Melvin, you were playing a really nice set till the puddle and propensity for being electrocuted arose Next time my man you will be able to finish what you started. Dawn, thanks for laying out your beautiful music to start out the saturday night. It is always a pleasure to hear you play, and you will always have a place at our gatherings Jason/Klinz, as Jessica already noted, thank you for giving up your slot in order for David to play. That was a selfless act that was just another cog in the community in action wheel. We will have you out again so that you might grace us with your musical styling. For all those whom I didn't catch/hear, thank you for bringing to the table what you did. You all played a piece in this puzzle, and this gathering wouldn't have been as grand as it was without you.
Much love to all my family & my tribe
