THE CUBE goes open air on Saturday 26 of April at Ammos Beach Club (Leoforos Posidonos,Alimos) with special guest from Sweden the progressive trance master ATMOS along with Steve Sai and Alex Radical.
ATMOS DJ Set (Digital Structures // Sweden)
Born in Poland but raised in Sweden Tomasz Balicki has established himself as one of the leading progressive trance acts around the globe under his Atmos project.Since 1996 he has been producing smashing hits such as Klein Aber Doktor and The Only Process and legendary albums such as Headcleaner and the 2nd Brigade which defined the progressive trance sound of our days.With releases on the best labels of the dance music scene such as Ministry Of Sound,Perfecto Records,Spiral Trax and Flying Rhino and with the support of the biggest djs of our generation like Paul Oakenfold,Hernan Cattaneo,Paul Van Dyk,Danny Howells and Armin Van Buuren he has joined forces with Digital Structures and is working on the release of his next personal album.His appearence in Athens is an event not to be missed.

ALEX RADICAL DJ Set (Quantized Music // Greece)
Artist bookings provided by Exposure Productions and Harmonia Records.
The event will take place at the renovated and open air AMMOS BEACH CLUB located at Leoforos Posidonos,Alimos,Athens next to the Alimos Tram Station.
Date of the event is Saturday 26 of April and doors will open after midnight.
AMMOS BEACH CLUB is a wonderful open air club right next to the beach and features the following :

The weather forecast for next weekend is very good but even in case of bad weather the place turns into indoor in a matter of minutes so nothing to worry about.

A) Atmos was never ever a goa/psy trance artist.From the beggining of his career more than ten years ago till today he was and still is one of the finest progressive trance artists and his albums are considered as milestones for this style of music.
B) This event was never advertised as a goa/psy trance event.This was an 100% progressive trance event with progressive trance artists and dj's and it was also mentioned on the original post advertising this event.
C)Atmos played AWESOME music for 2 and a half hours which was far away from progressive house,there is no such a thing as progressive house on 138-140 bpm as far as i am concerned.This was progressive trance at its finest and especially the last tracks were just amazing with great melodies and atmospheric pads in the backround.
D) Dear Jedi sorry to hear that you didnt like Atmos music but it seems to me that you were tottally unaware and uninformed who Atmos is and what kind of music he plays so saying that Atmos sucks is a very selfish and innacurate statement because you sound like a heavy metal fan who went to a Cure concert and found them soft.Sorry but the problem here wasnt the artist or his music but rather your lack of information about him and his music.

hey mike,i dont know if you are answering to me and for sure i dont know what was the set like in this party,but i have the priviledge to listen to atmos every summer for 3-4 years now in a bar in my place,playing 6 or 7 hours sets and believe me,he is playing a lot of house also.but quality stuff.what i would die to listen though is the headcleaner live with updated sound.lets hope..

Nice to hear from you all these nice things about the progressive scene and his indisputable pioneer
Anyway the party was good,although the price was high (20e+10e per drink), so i really enjoyed the music Tomasz played..It is my idea or he played quite better than last years event @ Kingston?
The first tracks he spinned were from his forthcoming album or what?
Peak:The remix for New Order's True Faith by Sam Ball..
Surprisingly though, its main everyday use is as a vocative form of displaying one's befriending: "Yassou re malaka!" (in the same way that Australians use the word "bastard" and the British use the word "mate"). |
