First of all thanks for sharing its really cool..I have Soundforge 7 but the Track Eq still doesn't work..Guess i need Soundforge 8..

What i wanted to ask you was do you always put a limiter & the vintage warmer on the master channel or did you do it just for this demo..

I've stopped using FL but was thinking of remixing some of my old FL songs, so i'd like to know what's the best method for getting the best quality out of FL..Thanks again!!           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

I made some tests and the Eq will work only if you have "Sony Acid Pro 5" installed .
"Sony Soundforge 8 " does't have the "Track Eq" plugin.

Yes i always use Limiter and warmer on the master track.
This is the first thing i do when i start a new track.
I use them as a guideing tool, to know how i will mix the samples (volume, pan, effects...) This works exactly like whe you make 3d grafics or animation on the PC, and use the guidelines from the soft.
Of course, the settings i use are not random presets...there was many years of experiments, tests and hard work before i made this ones.
The ideea is to reach the maximum quallity with the track, before you start the mastering process.
This is the hardest part, not the mastering !!!
The production and the mixing part, makes the track sounds good, not the mastering as everybody belives !

Boom !!!

interesting....

About that everybody believes that mastering makes the track sound good is debatable,
cause not everybody put all their effort into the mix, and rely on mastering, which in many cases can make a track sound more than what it is...

to me it sounds like you both mix and master at the same time, and then for final mastering you just make some minimal touches?

i agree that strapping a limiter and a warmifier on the master will reveal how it should/could sound in the end... and using that as a guide can be good to know what kind of treatment individual sounds need.. and how big the reverb really will sound.

i have a question, what do you earn in making a mastering chain on the master out instead of doing some post production on the wavfile?
cause as i understand it you render/record with the dynamic FX on the masterout? or do you just try them out and strap them on the renderd/recorded wavfile?

i will try your method, it makes sense.
Respect for sharing your knowledge!
its real interesting...

Boom!

well yes..it's some kind of mix and master in the same time. I know it's a slow process, but the results are very good..and the quallity of music is what it counts, not the quantity

In the end i make, of course, the finnal touches, and i export the track as wave file in 32 bit quallity without any plugins on the master channel. I upload, and i make the finnal mastering in Soundforge.
But i can say that 90% of the mastering process is done in FL.
The rest of 10% are small touches, like little Eq and volume rising & limiter.
