So.... about these skating parties, is there still a pretty good area for dancing? Also do you guys have food vendors or should we bring our own? "No alcohol served."... Does that mean we can bring our own? THANKS!!!
Thank god (I mean, Skatan) children skate because my feet are small.

if you think of the rink as being oval-shaped, we usually set the sound up at the elevated far/narrow end of the oval near the snack bar. the part of the skating area just in front of the speakers is usually roped/coned-off, so there is plenty of room both for dancing and skating.

there is a food concession with hot dogs/pizza/sodas etc., although i'm not sure how late this will stay open. you can bring your own snacks if you wish, just make sure that you put litter in it's place!

i've brought beverages before, just be mindful that your're at a skating rink. if you're planning on bringing bottles, i would suggest pouring it in a plastic cup or container (such as a sports bottle) if you want to carry it. the last thing anyone wants to worry about is broken glass on the floor! also, don't forget to bring your empty containers/cans/bottles with you when you leave

skate rental is included with the cost of admission, however they are the old-school clunky ones with 2 axles. personally, i usually bring my own inline skates.. since it's a varnished hardwood floor, using inlines is a lot like ice-skating
