Dino's new album is awesome in my ears instead I prefer his past tunes as Tortured brain. But even in its last album there are some killer tunes like dictator and Perfume, which are not mainstream at all.
Dino is one of the best djs in the dance scene in general, and its bio its a proof in my words. Tortured Brain and Cydonia was one of the best trance acts ever existed. Listen some of its tunes guys and think about: Tortured Brain_ the dealer, electroencephalotramme, the raver, signed for life, aftermath, naraco sleeping disease
and also some of its newer tunes like that's it (zoo 3-chemical crew), white lights (exposure productions), mysteryo (vision quest), thank u for calling...
If you listen some of these u will notice that this guy is experimenting with various patterns in every track and that he is a real pioneer.

for me things are obviouss
if we talk about psy parties thessaloniki has more and better ones
athens has more and better parties with tech-house and minimal music
and this is happening because athens as a capital has more "mainstream" people
nowdays worldwide in electro music, top genre and in fashion (im not saying it with the bad meaning) is minimal music, so athens is following that rules
if you ask me what i prefer i ll tell you that i wish i could be at the iboga label party that is taking place in salonika this saturday and generaly to lot of parties that is happening there and for sure not here, but i also like that in athens you can meet more people who is searching music deeply and consern about better productions (im not saying that im one of them but at least im trying to become)
so i think its city has the good ones and the bad ones
and anyhow traveling is good and more creative from the copmetition who is better  |

sory mate but u dont seem so informed.where does these tech house or minimal events happens in athens?beacause as far as i know my frineds in athens who hears minimal and teckno goes to mescal bar wich has capacity about 150 people.have u ever heard about decadance?maybe its not on its best times but still goes on for 15 years.

To put an end in this discussion.
A)Thesaloniki doesnt have more and sometimes bigger parties than Athens because it has a bigger scene or a more dedicated or well informed crowd BUT because of other reasons that everybody knows but this is not the place and time to speak about them.I mean the fact and only that Thesaloniki has more and bigger night clubs than Athens when Athens has five times bigger population says it all.
B)Every weekend there are something like 4-5 main international progressive/house/minimal/techno guests in Athens so i guess that Athens is part of this new mainstream music trend.And to answer your question dear Toti last week there was a Minus label event in Athens at Fuzz Club with Marco Carola,Gaiser and Hoyle so your friends should be happy because such events take place at least once every two weeks.
Athens was,is and will be awake always,other people need to open their eyes and stop being close minded and act like we live in 1960-1970.

and not only at the trance scene!!!
the first break beats-trip hop-d&b and more underground styles.....
my opinion...athens always had a good place and more people only!!!!
