i wonder why so much people botter to make remix atempts on this type of contest
most of you dont have a decent mixing... and even if you had, who will botter to listen a track that if you go to soundcloud and make search, it have more than 1000 remixing atempts??
does anyone will listen what you did? i doubt it...

Maybe because some people want to do it just for the fun of making it? Do you only make music thinking about who and how many people will listen to it?

this type of contest, its often used more to promotional purposes (of the artist it self) than anything else, and usualy they came in the DJ MAG voting weeks... (lol)
i am not saying that all of your remixes are rubish, but if i were you, i would waste my time or effort doing something else...
i know it might look fun to show to our friends, that you remixed a track from the "Mighty" Astrix, that everyone knows... but whats the especial thing about it when everyone else did the same??
is that the real porpuse of an artist?? where is the fucking singularity it really should mark any artistical expression?
so clearly.... the track it self its nothing special, i dont like this tracks, Astrix used to have a very cool full on some years ago, his own signature, but this type of prog, its not only very "childish" in terms of composition, as its not interesting at alle, the elements used are cheasy and over used in "Armada" type releases...
i am really surprised to see the so called "psy community" making so much effort in remixing such worthless track...
but, good luck to all of you who dream about being selected on this contest and make fame bacause you just did an astrix remix...

one of the prizes is a hommega release. a few years ago that would be huge prize for me. these days....... yeah.
I would prefer to remix one of his old hits. but even on this one, everyone is free to turn it into whatever they want.
personally I do not love the track, but it's a chance.

Sorry Ricardio,
Completely disagree here.
For many people Astrix was one of the pioneers of the modern psy trance sound and his current progressive stuff takes this to the next level.
It is not a waste of time to enter a competition and for many new producers it gives them opportunity to learn how to remix a track.
As Astrix is idolised by many producers it is a challenge to make something as good as him, which makes people try harder to improve |

i cant understand why ppl always bitch about full-on in a psytrance forum...as long as it doesnt sound "boring deep house" shit alot of producers doing these days.. i even like some of IM's new stuff minus the vocals:)
obviously the genre we should bitch about is progressive! the least psy of all haha (you know im right:))

I definitely prefer full-on. even the cheesy one.
at least is has more punch and energy.
in the good old days of full-on this production forum was full of activity.
and everyone was passionate about basslines, leads. and the mother of all threads were born.
