ASTRIX JOINS SOUTH WEST FOUR LINE UP

SOUTH WEST FOUR are proud to announce the latest addition to their all-star line up, psy-hero Avi Shailov AKA the mighty ASTRIX! Following his set at this year’s ‘Psychedelic Academy’ and accompanying mix album ASTRIX is the latest addition to this summer's SOUTH WEST FOUR Festival!
Israeli born ASTRIX first burst onto the psy trance scene in 2002 with his debut album ‘Eye To Eye’ (HOMmega) which marked his arrival as one of the hottest new producers on the trance scene and saw Astrix embark on what has since been a non-stop global tour performing at massive parties and international festivals alike, always raising the roof with his unique sound and style.
His UK live performance began at Antiworld at underground venues such as the infamous Tyssen St and Stratford Rex, from their ASTRIX's reputation soon gathering pace and he was asked to compile his first UK compilation ‘Nu Clear Visions Of Israel’ through legendary UK label TIP World, which is now considered a classic. Following this he went on to sell out shows at SEone, Brixton Academy and Alexandra Palace at the end of 2004 which marked the launch of his second artist album ‘Artcore’
Within his first UK show of 2005 at the Psychedelic Academy already a sell out success, SOUTH WEST FOUR are proud to welcome this cutting edge artist to join the Heat UK Arena where he’ll be playing alongside top level artists such as John 00 Fleming, K90, Tall Paul, John Askew, Rob Tissera and Ian Betts where he will perform a special live show specially for SOUTH WEST FOUR.
The SOUTH WEST FOUR festival is officially LONDONS BIGGEST OUTDOOR DANCE FESTIVAL this year taking place on Clapham Common on Sat August 27th. ASTRIX will perform a special LIVE SET alongside world- renoun DJs including SASHA & DIGWEED, CARL COX, STEVE LAWLER, DANNY RAMPLING, SHAPESHIFTERS, ERIC PRYDZ, NIC FANCIULLI + many more...
After the final dust settles at the daytime event, you can join 4,500 hardcore clubbers at the OFFICIAL AFTER PARTY which runs from 9pm - 6am at the BRIXTON ACADEMY!
