@Paulo
I guess you have not been listening to the right stuff, as already mentioned there is much cheap and crap releasing, but there is so many creativity aswell, try some latest releases of Vertigo rec. or try the last album Big Wigs or try Glowing flame rec. releases the new tracks of Pirated Machines for example I could go so on ........... but anyway if you close your mind and you want only stick with Astrix etc, is your choice           to use your head you have to go out of your mind

Interesting..But sure they are not a step ahead...Many already did it with those kind of sounds.GMS just follow the evolution of others...they have too!

Ok, then tell me who they are following...
The new tracks of them is a style i did not hear before...

Maybe Joti,Flip Flop,Polaris,X-dream,Deedrah,Shanti and Neurobiotic record sound..The most of them that I mention are GMS friends and they learn a lot of new tricks..So GMS are not ahead, not this time           www.myspace.com/tasos_notrea

I wonder if you guys really know what I am talking about....

It's not the neurobiotic sound I mean.

I tell it again, GMS is making new style, it's not full-on bass lines, but same kick's and very groovy. More influence of electro / minimal and big party music.
Donw site for some people is that's it's less psychedelic.

young artists can't hold the scene in its level, the just don't have enough experience.

there is no point for a psytrance party if the sounds are all the same, because every track should take our imagination somewhere else while we dance.
while the grooviness is important, it isn't what make music tasty, the musicality and originality are unreplaceable!

think of it as you would need to see 100,000 versions of a great movie.

I hope that it won't sound like house...with those trendy kicks...I hope they will focus on the music and original ideas.

Astrix's album is ready for + 1 year, but i think he decided not to release it...still there were "pirated" copies available in the internet...its a shame that someone so talented as he is decides to go in different "directions" - the new unreleased album just shows that - maybe thats why he decided not to release it!!!!! I can tell you that its full of "cheesy vocals", full-on comercial "clichés" but also with some amazing melodies that can make you fly...

quality music comes from experienced artists.

btw I guess the problem is that the new generation force experienced artists to create sucky music, because the market is flooded with tons shity releases and over compressed music and it cause a silly contest.

Hmm..in my experience new artists can be a lot more innovative than those on their third or fourth album. After a while everyone kind of blends in with the rest of the trendy (at least within psy) stuff or starts changing style drastically.           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

i tend to agree with kane. just because you dont have 4 album releases under your belt doesnt make you any less talented or ur music any less interesting, innovative or groovy. the reason there are shitty releases is because label are looking for the big artists sound because they believe that will sell. hence, lot of artists try to copy that sound believing that it will get them signed.
and paulo, when astrix released his first tracks, it took the world by storm. he was new, fresh and innovative, and his tracks were quality. he definitely wasnt as experienced as he is now, after the number of releases under his belt. so ur statement that quality music comes from experienced artists is totally wrong as far as im concerned. ive heard some really bad tracks from the big guys once in a while, and ive heard some wicked music coming out of unknown projects, and im sure a lot of you might have experienced that.
and paulo, as far as my quote is concerned, im glad you dont believe in it, because its taken you one step closer to yourself : ) cheers!

Astrix is too much young...
and for me, he is not able to keep psychedelic, because he loves COMERCIAL life.

Try to give a chance to real experienced producers like: JUNO REAKTOR (not trance but trancy indeed), PROMETHEUS, TRISTAN, KOX BOX, AMD, BIG WIGS, KINO OKO, ARTIFAKT, PSYSEX (GOBLIN), ZEN MECHANICS, DEEDRAH, X-DREAM, and some more...          Boom!

you have to listen the new PSYSEX album.
For me its original, spiritual and with the touch of Goa vibe all over.
off course it is diferent from the others since Psysex were two persons and now its only one mind.
But in my opinion it doesent lost anything, it only change.
expect everything less COMERCIAL music.
even his minimal side is forest vibe           Boom!

nobody waiting new SOn kite album????

that will be a must listen one, surely pure trance.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."
