can you really compare AP to Astrix? I'm sorry, but way beyond the range of success AP had in comparisson, it is also a very different style of music.

I was not making a comparison to the actual *sound* of AP, i said it had the *hallmarks* of a *classic* (such as AP's debut album)...and many share that thought too!

Yes, all reviews are *IMO*, and that does imply subjective *feelings*.

Like it or not, "Eye To Eye" was a milestone for full on. It is without a doubt one of the most famous full on albums ever released, and an album that really established Astrix as one of the most popular acts on the global psytrance scene. Sadly his popularity also meant a horde of young, new producers copying his dance floor oriented sound.

I loved this album back when it was released, and I still listen to it occasionally with great joy - but where dance floor hits like "Massive Activity", "Scientific Reality" and the remix of "Wider" where my standout tracks at the time of the release, some of the more laidback tracks have really grown on me through the years.

"Laidback" and "Full on" are probably contradictory terms, but I think it fits fine on tracks like "Crystal Sequence", "Side Effect" and especially the amazing "Valirus" (which, with the 135BPM, is more of a progressive morning tune though). Where most of todays Israeli full on (sadly also Astrix himself) is so hyped up, "killer", and purely made to produce screams on the dancefloor, these tracks are much deeper, atmospheric and with incredible, long, lush and dreamy pads. How I wish Astrix had continued to explore the deeper realms instead of the dance floor devastation...          DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

Couldn't agree more. I own this album and think it's pretty great, but Closer To Heaven made me think: what has gotten into him? I mean where does he get off muttering shit like: "You're going up up up up with me..."?? Get your act together Astrix! This is psytrance, not kiddy trance. Alas, the harsh truth is that some artists just turn over to the fucked up side of things.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. you know there isnt any possibility to name exact release so but this cd is undoubted pretender for the 'best cd ever' in my eyes.           Spiritual guides are to practice and serve in ways that cultivate awareness, empathy, and wisdom.

he probably mean: 'on fire' and 'underbeat'. Yep it’s a litte bit Skazi style but in a good way.

Fat chance. He made that one with Atomic Pulse. So I think you'd better check them out if you want similar vibes.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Eye to Eye contributed its part to isra domination in psytrance... excellent album, but astrix's full on dance floor recipe has been copied too often and too cheap.

please more tracks like EVOX, that's what dreams are made of...
