Astral surprised me with their last track 'open society'. So I have big expectations from their next album.           -=The Meaning Of Life Is To Give Life A Meaning=

Astral was the project that made me starting listening trance music.Unfortunatelly they followed the full on wave of Israel.I would like to remember them as they were on 90's.Maybe they are still producing music and they are gonna release new album soon but the true Astral Projection project does not exist anymore.Astral Projection trance is a nice memory from previous decade and I am afraid that there is no evolution or future for them (maybe at the moment).           www.myspace.com/tasos_notrea

I have to say that i like 'Open Society'.

While it may seem like selling out and jumping on the full-on bandwagon it could also be seen as a brave step to break with the same old formula and try something different.

I would like to think of it as the latter. Even though they have been criticized in the past for making music that 'sounds all the same', as the saying goes - if it ain't broke, don't fix it. If folks still like it - and buy it - then 'fixing' it doesn't seem a top priority. With that in mind, to push away from their usual style after over 10 years and risk possibly alienating their fanbase is a pretty damn brave step in anyone’s book.

Personally, i think AP have done the Goa thing to death now and as good as it was (and it was good), i have to admit it does seem like a good time to move on. It wouldn’t be their first style change anyway (check out the SFX stuff). As long as they keep it melodic, and keep it good, i couldn’t give a monkeys about the ‘style’.

Anyroadup... i say good luck to 'em!

I really like the old stuff - it gets to me on a deep level - but the new stuff doesn't catch my attention.           LABEL-DJ @ 3D VISION RECORDINGS | www.myspace.com/djraider | www.myspace.com/3dvisionrecordings

Astral Projection = GoaPsy Trance pioneers!!

Big respect. I still dig "Trust In Trance 3"
and their early stuff.
It was their "Trust In trance 1" comp. that got me hooked back then (1994-1995) to this music.
And yes, I will say this too: "People Can Fly" is a masterpiece.
i owe it all to AP.

I think that ¨Cosmic Ascension¨ remixed by Goblin, featured in Goa-Head 8 or 10 - I can`t remember - is their best track. Listen to final 2 minutes and feel what Goa was about! Superb remix!
