Really nice Anthems, what melodies. I remember hearing them on Anjuna at the flea market spot (I think it was 1996) HA!HA!HA! Amazing sound engineers. Love them.

Well there are other artists such as Hallucinogen, Koxbox, Etnica and Xdream that had in many ways a deeper more crazy vibe to their music than AP. So it just depends on how you look at it. And like others have said there are many other artists that though less well known are also second to none in their own way. And some may have only produced a few tracks but some of those tracks were so damn psychedelic that you might say they are worth an entire album.
Big respect to AP though, thats for sure. Here are some other favs:

yes man there is many other project that were as good but with ap i think everyone knew there tracks so it was maybe a bit different. but as the same time we got bored of it fast hearing always the same tunes in their live set

I think they are a bit overrated.
Most of their tracks are more dreamy than psychedelic.
But they were very good at that kind of sound, and it's not like I'll never listen to AP again. I'm just saying there were lots of other REALLY good Goa trance artists...

Let's move to 2010: Dunes of Gold will be featured in their new album. What can be said about Dunes...to me it's one of their best tracks ever. It can be 2010's Mahadeva.
What I loved more was that it doesn't sound proggy, it sounds real hard and melodic. And that's what AP are good at: banging beats, multi layered unique melodies, powerful riffs.

Although the music technology has been radically improved , the feeling,the vibe , from old AP is still something that is extremely ,extremely good.The most important for me and probably for most other people is that the feeling is there,it does not matter how good it has been mixed,mastered and which new synth`s,instruments,plugins etc that has been used as long as the feeling is not there.That is without question the most important thing.
Just like a movie,it can have all special effects possible etc,if it feels "fake" and without the feeling then it still stands flat.

and this one? it was our favorites with friends but it s too slow at the original speed , i dont remember if its the best version . damn it s so good to listen to taht track again..at 6 minutes we were goign all crazy with that break.. when i hear this no wonder why half the crowd left psytrance after 97/98 here .
