I was a big fan of Astral projection by the past, mahadeva, people can fly,... but lol! there are no lives from Astral guys anymore, just pre-recorded dj sets nowdays! All the equipments they are requesting (but not using) are just there to show somekind of professionalism, because they can't only show you an IPod and push the play...
They are big magicians, no doubt for that! Respect for their music but shame on their pro image! That's 2 different things  |

everyday same bullshit about this live or not live shit.
like we didnt know there is not possible to play it live if ur not have a band or somethere, and tons of money.
Just enjoy the music and the small little changes an artist can do when performing "live" its "he" who did the music in the first place, dont forget that.

Well there is a difference between playing one long wave file and not doing anything except tweaking synths that are not plugged in, and manipulating your music so that it never sounds exactly the same each time you play... whether it be loop triggering, synth tweaking, on the fly Re-arrangement/re-mixing , Improvised note input...
When I see (LIVE) next to an artists name, I wanna hear something that I haven't heard on their CD... I wan't to watch them and see that oh yes...I can see what they are doing is making this sound happen... I wanna see that if the artist walked away and didn't play anymore then the music would either stop altogether, keep playing the same thing over and over, or sound dramatically different then if he/she wasn't there. If the music is going to sound the same whether or not the "live" artist is doing anything or not...then that is NOT live. Why can't people admit to themselves that its ok to just play a premixed set, but why call it live? |

what a sad story... I saw this behavior in another non know ppl... but never inmagine to hear that from such a band... I guess some ppl get so corrupted by fame and partywildtime... bt plz so disapointed to know there is not evolution in pll that should be leading the best examples.

Yeah, exactly my thought, man. Actually live act does not exist anymore except a very few exceptions that I cannot even remember. Last live performance I saw was from some Juno Reactor and on DVD. Just dj sets they are doing nowdays and nothing more. The term "live" should be replaced with "live set or dj set", even some artists want to present you their new material, that does not change anything. But they are not willing to do it cauz their professional icone could be affected... |

psykovsky dj set - is much more "Live" than any of those so called " Live" sets ive come across..
point is, not many people actually know wats goin on, who is playin( ive heard people askin who is playin - with Kdd on stage) ,
till music is goin on continously, and sounding good, its a good party for all
for those like us who understand - fake lives cud be just renamed as "keyboarD" sets? or if anyone can come out with a better name hehe
but for sure - the term Live - unless if its not being done the rite way - shudnt be used.
for instance - try to look for Sun Project Live set in Femina mandagora party - thats a Live set
or for that matter - Xenomorph Live.
