I book AP from year 2000 til now once or twice every year and always bunch of crowd comes to party.
I really dont care if ther would piss on the crowd if people likes it and still coming.
They always make crowd jump and dance like crazy...so, why should I complain.
Who cares if they play from cd, i-pod or sinths?
Anyway, if someone leaves a monument behind his work, like they did with music they made, deserves only respect.

I just saw Extrawelt live (also known as Midi Miliz), and they truly live up to the billing. There were even a few glitches when a cable or something came loose.
The main problem IMO is that artists have not taken the time to learn Ableton Live and apply it to their 'live' sets. There is no excuse any longer for not having space/the right equipment/etc. to play live. All you need is a single laptop with audio outputs, and you can at least arrange and trigger your tracks live. And your set can expand as space and equipment allows. If you have a huge multitrack mixer, then get a good soundcard and route multiple audio outs to allow for live EQing and track levels. Enough room for a small MIDI controller = ability to tweak effect knobs live and trigger loops live. Ableton created a product that can be as live as you want, and people just need to get off their asses and learn how to use it. |

mate, it has nothing to do who you love or het. I still have heapsof respect for them for the music they have made. The point is, when a persons pays hard earned money to receive a product or a service, they should get that product or service delviered at 100% value. So if I go an buy a cd from Saikosounds or Psyshop, I expect the cd to arrive during the period I specifiy, and I expect it to be in the same qualit as buying in a shop (plastic wrapped and not broken or damaged,) andifany of those fail, I will conact them to let them know and sort it out. If A.P pomise to play a live show, and 4,000 people pay $50US a ticket, then they should play a live gig. If they plug in a shitpod or play premade mix on a cd, thi s is a failur to complete their obligations under the contract which they were paid for. In any other industry, this is actually illegal for them to do.
I also think you should list your crew name so all the party goers you and A.P have ripped off can get their money back. You sound like a toltal F*ckwit and another reason why todays scene if so sh!t is because of promoters like you. |

You must be some very cleaver guy? or just you think so? ask yourself.
In last 10 years I made hundreds of parties and there was maybe 2/ two! acts who delivered real live as you call it.
ALL the rest just play prerecorded stuff from laptop.
Should we kill the scene? Book just 2 -3 acts ? Hahaha, you make me lough loud.

and as much we dont want to admit , eskimo concider to be great show , possibly the "live" part is him jumping around , did they ever promised "music live" hahaha... its says only 'eskimo live' and he is there , not dead lol
its show biz , as long ur cd is good and your show is crazy i guess thats enough for 80% of the peaple and promoters
to me , nope.
and offcourse there is always the fact its electronic music , not always possible to mae live show , or if its 1 person its very diffrent from 2 or 3...

apsolutely!
i saw Tristan, Cosmosis, Logic Bomb, Penta, Jaia, Space Tribe...
all of them first class musicians and many many more doing the same thing, which doesnt consider that thay are fake.

Everybody agree with the fact that 95% of live act is fake...so this story is pointless!
I saw yesterday Fullmoon fest2006 video.....All so called live acts was FAKE(excluding Infected Mushrrom and Star Sounds Orchestra)
wtf?...should i open every time new thread tristan is fake or oforia is fake?
and you know what.....even the greatest artists in this scene is fake with their sample cd music!
i can give examples how the biggest names in electronic music .....
ripping world music instrumental albums.....and puting those acoustic samples in their tracks( wich is illegal because those albums copyrighted)

what we are saying is simply that takingpeople's money by lying is wrong. simple.
so instead if A.P are playing their iPood, cd or prerecorded mix and drinking on stage, like so many others in this scene, then stop putting the word LIVe next to the gig.

yep and that's why at most gigs, especially a lot of full on ones, they'll never get my money for a ticket... I"d rather stay at home with my deck and play it myself with a core group of good friends... and spend my $50.00 on lots of alcohol!
