hehe... I saw Rob Acid live earlier this year... he had a freakin; studio on satg!! A pile of FX units, a desktop, a big mixing deck, two 303 and a few drum machines (I did see a 909 and a 808) and a viruse... the funny thing was... that I think he touched the ocmputer lik 3 or 4 tmes and the restof the time he was tweaking around with all the gear... he barely had time to dance... and it was awesome... then a few days later I saw a live psy act fom portugal... he stood there drinking beer behind his laptop and not synths or midi...
at least techno and other scenes seem to kee p it real...
this is a scene for a lot of lazy young men who want to travel the world for free it seems... this scene is now all about the $$$ and not about the way of lie... psy/goa trance used to be a way of life for me and fo many others... now it is just a cruddy house/trance club outside...
the entire reason I loved this scene for like 10+ years is now almst completely gone! And the worst thing about it is even the old acts like Astral, Transwave and many others just do not f**king care!
It's a shame. Goa trance as a scen is really really dead. |

what? suntrip records? the few releases from what was Tranceform records?
mate I"ve been in the scene for at least 15 years... I haven;t been to a single party since oh around 2001 tht captured the spirit and the m,eaning of "goa trance"... and I"ve been to gigs in Europe, Japan and of course Australia...

the first post is (at least mostly) true.
this sh*t was talked about extensively in the portuguese forums. At least one portuguese artist, that was there curious about their live, watched the whole faking stuff... in Lisbon one of the guys was so f$%&d up that couldn't even get up
sad but true, spirit is gone in many of the trance artist souls!

hey guys i think most of the live acts play a playback from theire laptop .. so what should i say .. try it with a live PA hehe, a live dj set is better then playback and standing behind a computer and doing the cheerleader..
i dont know .. it also looks nice when people do the half live act .. playback from computer and put in some instruments like bongos or whatever hehehe ahaaha..
but tell me how should a digital production played (live) from one person, with all this small samples and synth lines and fx and and and .. i dont know how this should work ...
anyway astral made nice sounds and in future they should take care that theire playback is a bit more secret hehe... othervise all consuments know the secret of the live

Astral Projecion played here in Cologne yesterdays...and what can I say: They had a 24-track Mixer & 2 Nordleads on strage, but because the mixer allegedly was broken they used only one CD-Player & a Laptop to play for an hour. Also I observed they had an bottle of whiskey standing besides them (maybe this is part of their usual stagerider) but did not appear pissed. So my feelings are mixed...it might be just a technical problem detaining them from doing real live-overdubbs with 2 Laptops & Synths ...but if this is their standard performance it's pretty fraudulent.

Just stop booking them, and they will desapear. Nowdays having a lot of choises to book why still book them? don't need them to bring people to a party (fortunatley)

ap performing fake live is a shame. but the guy reporting this mess is a faker 2 i saw him 2 times doing fake live shows just pressing play and twisting the knobs in his midi keyboard his name is d-maniac from portugal ... shame on ap and d-maniac |
