Ive ben using Fl studio for almost a year and when i first started , i never bothered to use the included Asio soundcard..i dont know why..im using my Windows Primary Sound Driver.
Now i checked it out...its using a lot more memory than my regular driver..i cant tell any sound difference and when it is on..i cant play sound from any other program(itunes, vlc)except for FL
What exactly is the point of this thing?
Any solutions?

i use asio4all because the asio driver of my soundcard is producing clicks and noises and whatnot. asio4all doesn't. it seems to be an irq problem I'm unable to sort out.
in ableton I can disable the audio driver so I get sound in other programs (like my browser, winamp and stuff) without closing ableton.
keep in mind to close all programs that use the audio driver (audio player, browser etc) when you want to use asio4all in your sequencer or else asio4all appears to be occupied.
