I must admit i just heard these guys recently. I stayed away from hearing them because the name "Asia 2001" sounds like cheeeeezzz. But i downloaded some tracks, and i found that they are totally my style. Their songs are nice and melodic and have adventure.(at least from " Dreamland" album) SO, I decided to go to tower records to see if they had it ( I had a feeling they would have somone with the name "Asia 2001" ) ;) And sure enough they did...........but on the album was a sticker and it said "ASIA 2001 THE BEST OF CLUB TRANCE" and then it gave a track listing.......... i was shocked.
I was so shocked I decided not to buy the damn CD. How could anyone label Melodic GOA as club trance??? Doesn't sound like "Ayla" to me... thats a really harsh insult... best of club trance... geeez. Anyone know Asia 2001's email? I wana tell them about this.
I hope Asia 2001 isn't trying to sell out...

well I don't know about this "best of club trance" collection but Asia2001 will release a new album very soon. the album is called Abduction and released as usual under Avatar records.
it's more club-trance than the previous albums and less that same old melodic goa.
i'm doing the artwork but this time it's a very simple one..
oh and Trey, mail info@avatar-music.com for contacting Asia2001.

Well they had on the Cd cover a stiker that said "The best of Club trance..." ...thats basicly all i'm saying.
I just don't think it's club trance... at least not this album. (Dreamland) |

I have this CD and i know what you talking about, this sticker was on it... But i didn't get angry on that, because there is at least 2-3 really club tracks on this CD, and their style goes from Goa to Club... (i think it's better then to go to minimalistic :)) |

Asia 2001 first album "Ama Zone" is less clubbish, more Goa style and was produced by Avi Algranati (Space Cat).
"Dreamland" is NOT clubbish, only more melodic, and the sticker is there for marketing puropses only.
