ok ordered a cd from cdbaby.
..no other way of hearing this gem in lossless!
now how does this compute,
i asked cdbaby:
"Request to allow access to the mp3's files while the lossless data comes snail mail?"
and they quickly replied :
"Sorry, but you would have to purchase that separately. It's considered a different item and the artist gets paid differently."

Eh. That sucks, but I can't fault them. They're generally very good with their customer service and their stance isn't uncommon. Third party providers will often keep the two separate. Now if that were the answer after buying direct from the artist, then I'd call that pretty greedy. |

This is sounding very nice, have Magic Carpet on as I type. And I thought psy chill was dead...
(reluctantly went for the itunes option in the end, 15 notes for the cd is too much for me at the moment) |

...first impression, very organic 'live' sound with a big emphasis on vocalisations and traditional indian melodies which we have become accustomed to with releases by sons of arqa and east of the river ganges although i would say this is closer to artist like prem joshua. there is a sense of truthfulness and respect that has gone into the recordings and production. glad to get the cd as there is a world of depth to explore. these songs are not immediately digested but savored over repeated listenings. tantric music for the soul. |

Greetings all. Darren Sangita here and I must say its lovely to read all the positive feedback that you have posted, so jolly to hear that your aural receptors are being well and truly assuaged of all anxieties of life, by the transcendental vibrations that Ashirvad bring.
We are 100% independant label, entirely artist run and funded. Its the first release on our label Sangita Sounds and we thank you for your support. Thanks for bearing with us while our teething troubles are resumed.
The album took 2 years to make, with all of Life's interruptions of course! We make no apology for selling the album at 12 quid, plus 3 p&p. It's a quality release and not funded by anyone other than ourselves. The musicianship, the epic 6 month journey that we undertook, to meet the musicians and record them are what created this album. We could have stayed at home and thrown a load of nice sample CD's together, like many other "world" fusion producers.... but the integrity that we posses and wish to share, would not let us!
We LOVE indian music , arts and culture. So this is our way of sharing an Authentic taste of Indian classical, folk and devotional music. It's our Fusion of evrything we love the most, indina music, ambient trance, electroacoustic dubs...it's all in the mix 
Btw, you may wish to know that the album is printed on FSC (Forestry Steward Council) board from managed, sustainable forests. Also printed using Soya based inks and water based varnish. This eco-credential obviously comes at a cost, but we feel it is in keeping with our Holistic Music ethos. You can buy our music pretty affordably as a adownload, or invest in Beautiful Music and the Arts by way of purchasing a CD.
