A couple of years ago we thought that as trance became easier to make more people would do it for the money and the music would take a shift towards house music as that is where the money is
Today We have artists like digital talk, psychotic micro, azax syndrome, fungus funk, Kindzadza and others who have totally changed our mind s and brought hard core to the minds of all and have rocked all our world with sounds from the underground.
The bottom line is We are all happier and trance is a much much happier environment with these hard core babas making killer music.
I thank you
and wish that more people listened to you guys and expanded there horizons

I think you gave examples of the newer acts I don't really like, but I could give the examples of the Bigwigs mafia and Charm for their wonderful advancements in progressive trance, Wizzy Noise have been changing the way we look at full-on, Domestic and Sub 6 (among others) are giving the Israeli scene a much needed change...
Psytrance has never stood still. Not yet.

i agree with kaz on this issue... and to add more innovative acts : Sensient, Pixel, Panick, and more Australian acts who have brought us new sounds.

Nice post!
Not to talk about the change/?evolution? in the taste of most people. Before and especially in some particular places, full-on was THE sound and progressive was SHIT. Today the tendency is different. A LOT different, as I can say, for example, in Brazil and even in Israel, right? Though everything remains in some minds and it's good a thing to have variety.
My guess is that, in the future, the trance/psytrance category will remain solid, but new, innovative styles will derive... As it is happening..... but maybe new names of style will come up/expand! Tech-trance being one of them...or housey-trance... 
To me, the most important and essential part is to remain being THE PSYCHEDELIC style. I'm willing to buy any other GOOD styles, projects... Trance will never end. Some of it has already ended, though

well, the problem just might could be that psytrance might end up being "dumped" in advande for the new sounds in trance?
I mean, the psychedelic sound isn't what it used to be and now many australian acts produce the kind of psy that people "want to hear".
Hopefully psytrance will stay with us always, but only time will tell which of the styles in trance that will "survive".

I like the original post, as we thought it would go towards house... af. Yes, psychedelic please.
I like to see goagil choosing he´s music and going towards full-on. This I respect.
Shrom, the fashion is a shame don´t u think? This need to make something "bad" for some pp to go around other that´s "cool".
Is blue the new pink? 
I´ve even heard pp saying they want more blanks in their music, so they can imagine the psychedelia (???). I dunno, maybe pp hv done too much chemicals and don´t matter the music anymore... well I still need the sounds, I can imagine the psychedelia at home, thanks.

Yeah dude... A friend of mine thinks Britney Spears is the most psychedelic genre around... In fact, I had to agree with him! When we rationalize, psytrance actually is everything but psychedelia. It all depends...

a seed was planted...then came the shoots and offshoots... first there was techno then came goa then came progressive and then more and more styles emerged... within the psychedelic shoot there is now morning fullon, fluffy minimal, technobased minimal, dark fullon, finnish sounds, swedish sounds, dainish sounds, israilli, so i think its like a constant tree growing with each style growing its own shoots, some branches die and some grown stronger.... (am i making any sense:S) the bigger branches move towards the commercial and mainstream, that will always happen, but the new branches will be super innovative reaching for the sun with killer sounds hitting us from the depths of creation.
