Im almost 100 % sure he had nothing on him and he was set up ... happened to me happened to others by the same cop in charge ...
thats how indian cops work mostly... simple as that ...
if they wanna fuck you they will... nothing anyone can do about ...
staying clean and the truth doesnt interest them at all ...

It is definitely a tough one!
Getting a working Visa for an Artist in Australia is a whole bunch of effort...
You have to have sponsors with legitimate businesses, with clean books that can be opened for scrutiny. You also have to register with the musicians union that you are touring a foreign artist, which means there is a Minimum standard such as 4 star accomodation, a base weekly wage... Also with the taxation a foreign artist has 45% tax deducted automatically. All in all its a fucking headache a waste of money and you would only do it for "big names" or if you are a big festival doing stuff through legitimate channels.
Its much easier for an artist to come to Australia on a tourist visa and get paid cash in hand under the counter by the organisers for sure... but please be aware that as an Artist you risk getting turned away from the country if they discover you are in the country to perform...
For instance just say my friend Magnus above me wanted to come to Australia on tourist visa... What will australian immigration do?? first they check his visa and passport... ok everything is in order... but I'm just going to do a quick google search and see what happens...
ok So I search for his real name ... OHOHOHO!!
You are an artist named Fragletrollet!!
Oh and I see you are performing in New York in March 2008!!!

This is why now for my next project it will have absolutely NOTHING to do with my real name in the slightest. Word of advice if you want to tour with no troubles? Do not put your real name as credits for your project...
