lots of nice thoughts here 
For me its all about humans and character.
And at the end its all about each ones personality, beside the substances or anything, its how much you love what you do, how devoted you are. Some artists are good some are bad(?) Yeah some might be really pricks and have great sounds, some might be the best people around with good heart and devotion again with great or not music.
And there is the other half, or more than the half, the people that love/follow the music(?), music is nothing without a receiver, a person to translate that into feelings, memories, images, secrets.
There are always good people around, you can meet intelligent people, people love the music, seekers of imagination, of life, funny things, funny situations, spiritual people, you can meet drug people, people who love to take every shity super energetic drug to smash their foot on the dancefloor, people who love lsd..
Thats psychedelic for me, the theater of the absurd, represents life itself perfeclty.
An absolutely big factor for moving the hole thing of course are money.Some might ask for more others for less, some artists really need the money, cause their incomes are not good, some others overvalue themselfs without any really reason, some people overvalue some artists, others are grateful and helpull , others are ingrate, its human..
Its all about you and me and the communication and understanding, when lots of characters involved,too many different perceptions & personalities is easy to lose the balance, lots of people make their private parties for having that good time with people they appreciate and good music, isnt that the real reason for doing some nice gatherings to remember the nice times with good vibes we had in our life ?
Too many things involved, i cannot find again something to blame, thats life.Nothing is really perfect but you can always have your spirituality through music,or just enjoy good times with the good people you spot in the crowd, you meet on the go, traveling together with good buddies and have the great f&*%ng smile of balance and peace within you at the end or start of the day, in festivals, parties, concerts, trance folk, rock, reggae and everything..
I cannot ask for something more, cause there is nothing more than that. The music journey is endless, you just choose a path to discover, or more, is always up to you
*ps Madonna made a show here in athens and as far they said her "income" from that night was 10 million euros .. everybody had a blaaster time  ... what the fuck was that now ?????did that disgusting piece of "music" crap deserved so much money? did the crowd had a great time ,, hell yeah ,,for some people its really awesome finally to eat crap and pay lots for them, artificial life, artificial music, soulless and fake, their decision not mine.
i choose trance and good people & will keep on believe in good people and good music, cheers to that  ..

I think almost no one here got the point of this topic: if an artist is really talented he doesnīt need to make lame smiling-comments about parties and festivals he is dying for to play there. He will get his fame naturally and doesnīt need to sell himself thru this cheap comments.

best is that new trend in the new festival section where ppl post links to some dj set or stuff they did and really think they would get booked through that cheap comments... wondeful sight on things by these peeps hehehehe.... totally agree with ganges

You have to be cheap if you want to participate in the star system...
That goes to every artist of any kind...
But we can't know if this is an ego-star thing or some really survival issues that push him to do it...

No, itīs not about personality.
Itīs about you paying to party and have a really UGLY sound because you hear an artist who was booked not because his tracks were great, but who was booked because he became the friend of a friend of a friend of an organizer who liked to have his balls licked thru forums like Isratrance, just to mention one.
Itīs about complaining about wanting to have real, good, genuine good music.
