I see that in the line up for most festivals lots of Artists are there playing Live & also as DJ.
Do all Artists DJ? (Is there any Artist who only makes music but dosen't DJ)
If answer to the above question is yes then
All Artists are DJ’s but all DJ’s are not Artists, true?

not necessary an artist is a dj, but some times there are ppl that are killer in both... like my friend CLAW

Your average psytrance producer knows more about beatmixing than your average psytrance dj knows about tweaking a synth.

Artists aren't not always good djs....That's a big problem because promoters prefers to book a live + dj set ( at the same price ) than a live act only... ( some artist like to play dj too , but they 're not always very good djs...). It's more cheaper for the organiser than a live act + another dj set by other dj...It's bad luck for good djs i think because they can do better than the artsist playing dj sometimes....I often be disappointed when i heard an artist play dj , because the history of the set and technic wasn't well good structured, they got good music but , it's not play as it would be...But i saw very good dj sets by artists anyway....i can't put any names here , that's not the subject, but i prefer see a good live by an artist and a good dj set by a real dj ( this one could be artist too )....
If djs are artists too ?
I don't think so for many reasons , they got good ears too understand music yes, but it's not the same job to play and create music in a studio...An artist play his own music , djs plays cds of others artists for majority of them....But with a lot of time and work, djs could be artist too....Maybe djs are " artists " for their technical mixing and choice of their tracks for a good history....But it's more a feeling than a real creation...
All I need is beautiful melodies...
