To Cytopia and everyone else :
Can anyone tell me how to register "in the end" in order to upload a track for the competition? I mean this literally. I have tried 4 times to register going again and again through the 3 steps/pages and typing the same things again and again(very annoying!!!)
The problem is that in "Step 3 out of 3" i filled all the times all the fields, but there is nowhere a "next" or "send" or "submit" button/option to complete the registration. Of course i emailed Cytopia regarding this problem last Sunday. Until now no reply.

Alex,
If you didnt receive a mail yet sorry. We havent encountered such a problem before, it sounds odd.
Have you tried using a different browser??
If you want to enter the competition you dont need to register to the site. Just send a link to your track with your info to sander@cytopia.org and you will be entered.
Registration for the site, is for artists who want to upload and release music on the site regardless of the competition.
I will forward the description of your problem to the site programmer and we will try to fix it.
Info we need from you is which operating system and what browser are you using. And you may want to try to complete reg using different internet browser. We will contact you by mail as soon as i talk to the programmer, ok?

Thanx for the reply.
I don't think it's a problem of the OS or the browser since i have made dozens of registrations until now(XP Home, Internet Explorer).
I wanted to upload the track to save time from one hand and because i would like to submit also some tracks in Cytopia in the near future. If you like to read some more about me go to www.myspace.com/roudos

Well, our preference is certainly not abstract-Kalashnikov-trance... but we are open to different styles. Most dark psy that gets sent in is pretty bad though...
We welcome variations in style, and dark trance is welcome as long as it is well done and musical. That goes for all styles, its ALL WELCOME AS LONG AS ITS WELL DONE.

Received some great entries so far. Maybe Aug 15th is a bit far off but more entries are welcome.
Good news is that some CD labels have shown interest in releasing tracks from current Cytopia artists which they heard and liked.
We are also planning on doing online distribution for various CD labels which we are now making arrangements with.
The top 5 tracks will be mastered by Colin, promoted and released by Cytopia. And we will do our best to help release the top 5 tracks on CD somewhere.

Hi quality mp3 will do for judging, then we will contact the top 5 to get the proper mixdown for mastering.
Its been quiet lately with entries, think we made competition a bit long; new entries welcome!!
Original sound and good quality production more likely to do well.

I wouldn't worry about this right now, the people that are left, at least from my own experience are taking what time they have to get their track sounding really good, or are trying to finish up one of their new ones. Some may even be writing a new one just for the competition. You probably get blasted with tracks the day before it ends. |

Dear All,
One more week until the deadline for the Cytopia artist competition, if you want to send in an entry, do it by august 15th.
Original work has a better chance of doing well, received some great stuff so far.
