It seems that most of the psy trance artists today are also DJs.When new artists realese a single/album they automaticly become DJs/preformers.And correct me if I am wrong but the main cash flow comes from DJ-ing.So if I want to make a living out of my music I also have to become a DJ?Are there any artists out there who are not DJing at all?THNX!!!           ===>

Ahmed, I belive that the first step is to be a DJ and from there to mouve into the producing stage... althou some ppl skip that stage, but the part that will bring you true income is the LIVE acts.. not the DJ sets.... although in most cases ppl tend to hire bouth...           "open your mind....you might just see that there isn't anything to be seen"

Maybe is the oposite, djs becoming artists Fed up with what others release, and start to release what they realy want to play...           • Noize Conspiracy Records •

first of all many artists become djs cause when you make music the croud want you to play it and no some dj. its much better to hear The Vicious Spiral live set for example than some guy play his tracks.
and you right most of the artists djing too but there are some like ECT that only make music and not perform but the money is weak that way.           "My single one to cross the ways that have heart, any way that has heart. That way I cross, and the only test that is worth is to cross all its length. And that way I cross watching, watching, out of breath"

i agree with CHP!
this is the best way to do it...
develop a style when you are djing and afterwords develop your own music for fullfiling your set and bringing new ideas to the dancefloor!

one other thing i wanted to add here...
for all of you producers and djs outthere:
IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO MIX DONT GO UP TO THE STAGE! LEARN HOW TO WORK THIS DECK BEFORE, OK???           db Productions

This time I'll agree with you!!! Its not just bad, it is terrible to experience bad mix from a dj...
