OK, Sethspun, I understand you made a mistake.
I enjoyed every second while GMS was playing in that festival, specially in the last day after Zorba(with Asher?): spliffpolitics, element, spliffpolitics, element,..., that was killer.
Still think this thread should be closed, for I can´t see in which way it can improve our forum or the psytrance scene.
Artists should be respected. We must respect each other.

I think that they are really AROGANT PRICKS, because 1 year ago they supposed to have live act in Macedonia, but they didn't come, because in the same time they had 2 bookings ana decided to go to the party in Brasil. What's the point, they chose Brasil because they think that it is "better" country than Macedonia, or because the organisers in Brazil have offered them more money.....??
So we are expecting them again in Aprile, let's see whether they will come. I just hope that some of them will read what we are discussing about here, about their behaveur, and hope will try to do something about that.... |

tRAVELLER I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOUR POINT.
My point being that SHIFT being an artist should have never started this thread or atleast shaould have never called them names. Hey i look at it this way they both come from the samemusical community they cant be calling them selves names.
It sounds more like hes jealous of them for some reason. And looks like the moderators dont seem to bother... ive seen them lockin some random threads for some strange reason and they dont lock this one. HELLOOOOOOOOO SHALOMMMMM |

hey
i looooove gms music,, i have always been a big fann,, but dooood
this is not a big scene,, and they act like gods or something,, i'm not jealous,, i just think they could represent themselves a little more professionally,, and if i ever get like them,, then i'd want people to tell me!
i was forking upset when i couldnt hear them live,, and then again at the eclipse they dj'd (NO LIVE ACT when its clearly printed on the lineup)
i wonder if they are just taking the piss or what??
if they want respect - they should show some to their fans
sorry if i upset anyone with this thread,, but i really had to get something off my chest,, they fucked the people an dorganisers here around enough,, and it looks like they have done it elsewhere too,,, it IS a matter of RESPECT,, mr SPY,, they must respect the people who put us them there,, cos dude,, there arent that many trance lovers out there in the grand scheme of things,, and this is a highly connected network of people,,

Ok here's my input as an artist and a person that's been a part of this scene since 1992.
It's not as black and white as people tend to see it in this topic.
There are many sharks in this scene both organisers and artists and as someone pointed out not all artists and organisers are into this for their blue eyes sake.... Money is a big issue in every scene ! And this scene is not an exception.
I personally have dealth with many organisers that used my name both as a DJ and as a live act on their flyers even when they never called me and asked me to come and play. And I admit I have not always kept my appointments. Sometimes because I was too tired after months of touring and sometimes because something serious happened in my family. And sometimes because the organiser failed to pay my advance in time !
And last:
The contracts written in this scene are not worth the paper they are written on.... No one can afford to sue a artist or a organiser in a foreign country !!!
So you see this is a issue with a lot of grey areas. |
