Does anyone have any good tips on arrangement. maybe a sample of how everything is broken down?

I make stuff and then I see that it is incomplete and is missing stuff. I know a lot of artists use a lot of sounds that are present and influence the outcome of the track, but arent really present enough to be prevalant in the song.

What style are you making?

I'd say the best way to arrange your tracks is to find the best way that fits your style and sound. Maybe try focusing on smaller sections at a time and see how the structures sound when trying to make a build-up, main section, break, outro, etc.

Trying to fit your music into someone else's formula could work, but it won't be as unique.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

Thanks

The idea is defintely to be unique, but when scientists discover new things, it helps to know what they are, how they work and how it relates to previous findings from other scientists.....That's what makes them scientists...They have studied science....In order to classify a new frog species and call it a frog, you must first know what makes it a frog instead of a salamander.

I cant be a trance producer without first studying what trance is, how it is made and what actually classifies it as trance.....

In that case a technique some people do is to listen to a track that you like the style of then try to remake that track themselves.           http://soundcloud.com/ascensionsound

fitst of all have an kind of idea for the track.
think about it as a story. if you write some part and after you fill it's not fit to your track and to the idea of the track, delete it and write new part. even if the part is good on his own but not fit the track delete it and maybe use it at another track.
every 8 bars add 1 or 2 repetitive sounds (groove patterns, leads, arpeggios). try it to be 2 sounds every 8 bars. and it's not have to be loud sounds.
have a lot automations and think creative. you can change your groove patterns during the track.
always ask yourself if you think your track is interesting all over and if not make it interesting.
it's not big problem just to make a track. i'm sure anybody can learn to make a trance track. but it's a problem to make it interesting.
