2011 has been the year of remixes for us.
2012 started with two remixes and now we take a break to focus on our next original tunes + prepare our new live set.
Here's a demo mix of the latest and last remix for a while, unless we get a big name asking for remix duties again

I was testing it at the club (where I work) P.A. yesterday. There is plenty of bass, there just isn't plenty of low mid bass. In smaller speakers (like my Alesis M1 mkII actives) the bassline sounds like its there, but not prominent at all.
On my HR824s and the club P.A. (nothing great 15" HK with twin sub cubes) the bottom end is quite big, the sub is totally pulsating, yet defined.
I am going to go with this mix as it leaves space for the leads in the low mids, to sound big + the arrangement gets quite busy, so I feel this kind of bassline, suits this particular track.
I've mixed quite a few tracks with lots of bass and thinner leads, gonna give this kind of mixing a shot at the gig we have in Holland on the 4th of February and see how it sounds there. I am open to the possibility of pushing the bass channel up a dB or two tho...Trial and error will help me get there.
I hear you about the effects, although I used some Dick Trevor tunes for reference (his music is a bit and miss, but his production is stellar) so I went for his approach of loud effects sounds. On top of that I listened to some old Hallucinogen tracks again lately...now that's music with loud effects!
Glad you like the sound design, been using the new oscillators of the Virus TI and FM and PM modes for leads and effects to get away from the typical subtractive synthesis stuff.
Besides sh-101 arp at the intro before the kick/bass drop the x0xb0x glitched/reversed synth part and the resonant square that comes in before the sample on soundcloud, fades out, every single lead sound and most FX sounds, are patches I created from scratch on the Virus TI.
Saved like 20 new Virus TI logic channel strip settings (all using the Wavetable, Grain and Formant oscillators), whilst creating this track.
Actually the only soft synths I used for this track was Ultrabeat to make the kick and Sylenth to make the bassline.
The rest is hardware analog/digital synths.

This was a remix swap, Arkanoydz is doing a remix of our Connected track from the last EP we released with Neurobiotic...eager to hear what he's done.

I barely could hear the snare and when did, its kinda boring.
