I just wonder if you have ever seen an animal slaughtered, all the process I mean..
Or I really wonder if you are able to slaughter one by yourself..
Well, I had seen it.
I heard its voice shouting with fear.. his eyes imploring to LIVE and it is so horrifing.
I can't think to see an animal, someone similar to me, beeing killed in that way just to make my palat happy.. you don't need to eat meat. It is demonstrated.
Pigs are more brainy than dogs. More sensitive too. It is demonstrated that their capacity is similar to a 3 year old human child. So he thinks, he knows..
Eating meat it is just a cultural heritage, not something that human being needs to survive.
There are so many consequences for us, for the animals, for the planet and its enviroment you can't really imagine..
So I just can say, LET DO VEGETARIAN, even you Aluxe, you say so many right things, but you need to make some good example...also. You cannot think to talk about vegetarianism and still being carnivorous !

^^ Hymal, I was mostly arguing for reducing our meat intake, which I have done so myself VERY MUCH. But I don’t think eating a little meat in responsible and conscious amounts is necessarily bad. I think the biggest problem are the incredible and over excessive amounts of meat our society consumes with the meat centered diets, which is consumed with absolutely CERO consciousness about its consequences. But I am not really arguing for people to stop eating meat entirely, just really for people to stop eating huge amounts of it, which is a more realistic approach (IMO) to helping the issue and also I am not completely convinced that eating meat has to be necessarily bad if eaten in responsible and conscious ways.
But you raise good points Hymal, and I do entertain the idea that a total switch to vegetarianism is what maybe makes more sense in the long run for humanity. Hey I know even very smart people like Einstein have expressed this, so who knows, maybe one day I will become completely vegetarian. Big respect!!

I know how difficult can be at the beginning, but first of all I think that choices must be taken with coerence.. you will not understand the entire being connected with nature and what it takes to preserve it if you are at 90%, even if you are at 99% ... it doesn't make sense. A choice is a choice, a system of thoughts need to be supported by an 100% of choice.
I know that you are arguing for the less impact for the planet and for the huge quantity it is consumed, but it is more realistic to stop eating meat than doing less... so many people is doing vegetarian for several reasons (spiritual, phisical, health, sensibility, for the planet..etc), so this means that it is possible and realistic. This is something that everybody can do without any consequence for your health, if he follows an appropriate diet, which is very very rich (maybe you can find more interesting reading how can be various and tasty vegetarian cuisine )
