Hey everyone I decided to open this topic to see how people really see the music they leasten to and leasten to artists point of view about their own creations.
Through the years i'm leastening to psy I realized that you can feel the artist pain, joy, love (every type of emotion) through his music and that not all the artists went to a path of making noise and that is all, that is totally ok don't get me wrong to understand music with feelings we must first feel the total opposite of it that's how life works ......
for example in Talpa - The World Without Me
you can feel the emotions transmitted through the track 100% pure soul music
In ambient you can find feelings allmost in every track the beauty is to find it in psy.
I was wondering do you think that the listener creates a state of mind and consciousnes on how he recives the message that is transmitted to him or it depends mostly on the artists work???
Feel free to recomend tracks to!!!!!

All I can say is that this Talpa tune is really a great track! Have you noticed the backwards sample in the beginning?
I think the way we interpret the music and outside stimulus in general is highly dependent on our emotional state and also mindset.
Respect!

yea I noticed them and I agree with you about the way we recive depends on our emotions and mindset but I still think that the artist can "guide" you to that place

Yes some artists are magicians & they do transmit the feelings & emotions in their music.
That's why the music with soul is special & touches the inner walls.
Hallucinogen is the best
Vibe Tribe - Albert Balbert is another great tune that evokes my emotions

It's really hard to do this with dance music in general..in most melodic tunes the goal always seems to be a euphoric sound. I don't think anyone would intentionally make a melancholy sounding psy track, since no one wants to be depressed on the dancefloor. Most dark (or whatever you feel like calling it, since this stupid debate is going on again) tracks would be harder to describe..it's all technical experimentation to get the most strange sound possible, so "psychedelic" emotions..whatever that is. Fullon kinda gives me the emotional message of a hungry mouse.
Ambient/chill stuff is a totally different story..
  You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me? |

I dont feel any artist emotions. The track - yes, could have a story. But emotions, little difficult.. Or maybe I am insensitive. |

I find music and sound as an interesting means to express myself and how i see the world with my own inner feelings. It helps me spread the message coming from my inner self which is the same as everyone's the message of freedom, love, tribe and living as one with the nature the true essence of it all. The message is in the music has been there ever since, the gathering of the tribe the celebration of a new intelligent society living one with the nature, revolution against materialism i mean these are crystal clear messages sent through music from really dedicated people who love the world inside and outside...It's easy when you love the music to end up in a mind blowing experience because the feeling is more powerful than anything you ever encountered and this is coming yes from the artist inner self.
  Boom :)

Well, for one thing, I know that music can help you transfer emotions into other things also. It doesn't always have to be just music.
If you listen to something uplifting (whatever genre you want to put it into) and then go do something positive, that's an interesting thing because the music helped move you to do something you might not have originally done yourself without the music.

emotions and how we interepret them is very personal, so I think often a musician may put his/her heart and soul into a song/track but the listener will most likely see or feel something different.
And I think this is the basis behind why we all have such different taste in our music and it makes our taste personal and unique.
Someone may find say a Cosmo track to be dark and evil, but for me it is more of a euphoric and energetic feeling.
I love music because it guides emotions, and I love psy trance and chill out/ambient because it often just the music, I have often found lyrics ruin good music in the pop/rock culture.
I hate you, you hate me, we are all so hap hap happy! |

Definitely for sure. It's also why I love psytrance, chillout, and etc. It just focuses on the music and making it perfect so it does elicit emotions from the listener even if they are not the same emotions the artist put into the music but the fact that emotions are elicited in the first place says something on it's own.
And it's not like they have to be exactly the same emotions the artists hope for listeners to pick up. As long as they are emotions that repel them from the music right? heh

very hard to transmit feelings in psytrance. Sure downtempo or proggy can have feelings like - ' oh im on top of the world' or ' eveythings gonna be ok'
Or mybe psytrance hasnt evvolved as much . |

The best tunes out there come out of a mind that is transmitting emotions in the creative process. There is a certain frame that the artist is projecting and you need to find yourself in it. Under proper circumstances most people would absorb a similar story, similar feelings.
All the crap that's coming out lately...it's all driven by $ not feelings.
