Are you online when producing?
Logged in the Twitter, MSN, Forum or any kind of site?
Or are you offline, on an isolated computer, always 100% focused on the work?!

I use the same computer for internet and production, so I'm online most of the time.
I only get offline when I need to finish stuff and to perform some tasks.

its 2 different computers for me
msn always on , but i might reply after couple of hours.
once production computer had no internet so i dont get viruses , today its to not stay online too long (what happens anyway)

I use a different computer for producing, but sometimes I'll still have my laptop next to me to keep me busy when I'm waiting for stuff to render, or just looking for helpful information. |

production laptop offline, other for internet
sometimes nice to follow production guidelines on the net while doing it on the producing one with cubase |

Production PC + equipment in a completely separate room. no connection to the outside world.
Laptop with internet in the living room, where i eat, sometimes sleep with tv on blabbing etc

i double-boot and the production OS has most unnecessary services and hardware disabled. this not only eliminates some potential conflicts (web cam, for example), but also has a small psychological benefit of helping me to stay focused: if i boot up into the production OS, then i can only produce and can't really fuck around with anything else. if i do have to look something up while producing, i either walk over to the living room and use the wife's puter or bust out the work laptop. seems to work nicely for me.
