I wonder,
I listen to many styles of music,
know a lot of people who listen to different music then goa
(well who doens't)
that's not my point,
but remarkable within the psytrance experience we collect more,
or am I totally mistaken ?
or is it just psytrance the genre himself who provides the oppurtinity to collect ?
what about the knowledge,
we remember,
I rememember,
you remember,
as long as you are busy collecting psytrance and experiencing it you gather around new info,
discover old...
do you understand what kind of 'motion' I'm trying to draw here that I think or speculate,
I repeat I think I don't see that common in other music genres,
it's an open statement,
not the truth or my truth,
so be gentil

Im very much a collector of psytrance, but in the future I hope to collect other music as well. There is a universe of music out there!
My brother is very much a metal fan, and he's a metal collector, so it looks like metal people are collectors too!

Yes you are totally wrong. I know fanatic House collectors that would make any psytrance collectors CD collection look very small.
I also know people who got way over 40.000 or more rock albums etc. It's human nature to collect. its not monopolised by trance heads.

this is totally dependent on the collector of anything and his/her passion for what he/she's doing..
its impossible to say who collects the most of anything.. |

I'd rather be a music "listener" than a music "collector"... |

I think that goes in both ways,
why spend time to collect if you don't listen to it,
if you listen to it but don't collect it you still remember it so you can refer to it, what creates a collections of thoughts = knowdlegde

I collect in a modest way. I like originals. No, I love to have the original album of a artist/album I like. The feeling it gives me is shallow yet good. I'm also a GREAT listener of psychedelic trance and of what I collect. Before, I used to collect basketball cards (Seattle Sonics !! ).
I sold them Like TrippyJohnny wrote, it's in our nature to collect.
