Are there any psytrance parties in the Philippines?

Hey guys!
Going to the Philippines soon to get some sun and have a look at their famous beaches. Wondering if there are any psytrance parties there?!.. Couldnt find anything on the Internet but apparently there are some psy parties there I heard... but WHERE?! Anyone knows? |

yea mon I wish! What will all those 8,000 islands and beautiful people ....
The bit of travelling I have done there has turned up nothing. There arent many travellers there, but lots of tourists (couples, old men that dig 70's cock rock), same can be said for all the European & Amercian resort owners I have come across. But maybe there is some hope with all the trendy Koreans that go there.
Any sound system I have seen on a beach has been belching cheesy music, with no one really going for it. Oh, and hip hip is big there.
Even the big party island Boracay has nothing but cheese on the music menu, and its really become so commercialised and overdeveloped, but hey what a beach!
Also there have quite hectic anti-drugz law there, like no bail even for spliff. They have a big shabu (meth) problem there as well, and the poverty & gun culture is quite hectic but besides that its great place to travel, cheap beautiful and if u into scuba all the better.
But maybe there is somewhere there ...

this chap used to do parties there before but moved back to england. I hear there is nothing happening there now. Maybe he can give u a lead.

But sooner or later its gonna happen for sure...since thailand,malaysia,singapore,taiwan,indonesia,korea r growing big in terms of the scene. And we r trying to do things collectively for the region of SE Asia.
So soon to get infected for sure.

Just back from another diving trip in Phils, and can report there's no shortage of sound systems belching out cheese to deserted dance floors at most beaches - not too mention videokie systems in every nook and crannie, so all its going to take is a bit of opportunism: noise pollution will not be a problem.
However most tourists are fuddie duddies into retro golden oldies *PUKE*, and hip hop is whats popular with the youth. Oh yeah, and love songs with the girls.
Not many travellers around although a few poms working at dive shops that could be up for it.
Will be back in Phils in June and going to travel to more remote islands, this time I will pack a sound box for Traktor and try blag my way onto some sound system, it can only get better.
