Yeh That's true. They use mono in some cases cos stereo sound reflections causes doppler effect in some positions when parties are organized in small venue

not really I think this mono talk is bullshit

mainly mono is used to make bass and kick powerful and much concrete.           ""

Ehm... actually I've heard a few sound systems at clubs/parties that were mono. It's cheaper to do and most general clubbers don't give a shit.

yeah.
I would not say it's cheaper? how come? still you need same gear to make the noise.

Only reason I can think up if you think how clubbers are located in venue. clubbers are on the left, on the right, ordering something, in toile and so on, if they are partying in front of the right speaker they won't hear whats happening on the otherside, you got what i mean?

cos all "commercial" music is produced to work also in mono, it could be good solution in some cases that venue is extraordinary shape or people are wide out of "listening range"

just my thoughts           ""

normally p.a. systems are set-up in stereo..
in many cases thou the SUBWOOFERS are used in mono !
this allows for higher wattage by connecting the subs in bridged mode, and hardly impacts the music because in most cases the low octave is made mono by default - sometimes in the mixing proccess and sometimes in the mastering proccess..           Ma visuals decoration team catalog

good on him for sign in yoyo but he is wrong. or maybe he forget to switch the dj mixer mono>stereo evrywhere he play.
i have been in 5.1 trance party and this is so much better then anything! some phase issues in some spots its true but find your place on the dancefloor and the expirience is much bigger
