Hello Psytrance music producers, well i was passed on to this website after i acquired a Access Polar T1 fully integrated polymorph synthesizer. Im interested in producing Psy Trance music as i love the style, however i need some info on programming the synth to create the standard kinds of sounds you hear on the latest music.
If anyone can point me to some websites or suggest some tricks of the trade (making the strong kicks, psy pads, leads etc) then i would be very happy. Also on the studio side, what would you recommend for me to use with the synth (remembering that it is very flexable with a home studio interface), i have a very good home computer, studio monitors etc and some good time on my hands when im not working!
I would really appreciate some help in getting started and what i ACTUALLY need in terms of other equipment as i belive the synth can "synthesize" ALL the sounds with the relevant effects??? And what is the best software sequencer etc. Many thanks and kind regards, David psyentist@hotmail.com
Professional help please!

Hey Psyentist, I've been living in Manaus (in the middle of the Rain Forrest) since 2005, but I'm from Florianóplis (SC). Where do you live in Brasil? I didn't know Access had already released the Virus TI...
If you want to talk about synth programming (I have Supernova 2, Waldorf XT, Juno 106, Prophecy etc.) and mainly, about mixing/mastering, email me, ok?

Hello Psyentist!
two things to say:
1. I'm very jealous (i want that synth... alot)
2. Use the search
Virus is still a synth, so sounds can be programmed in the same way as other synths.
search for "how do I make this sound" threads, and learn from there for sounds.
There are enough kick/bass threads to fill a kangaroo's pouch here... so look at those.
Don't even ask what the best software/sequencer is... it'll only lead to arguments between fruity and cubase users...
Peace

Well thanks for your professionaly response guys. Yes im lucky to have run into one and snapped it up at a good price here in the US (long story). So i know some basics but just playing around with this monster has my head wild with ideas. Now im building up a small home studio and will hibernate for half a year whilst i have some fun. I will be using this website as a major resource to aid me in my production of our favorite genre. Take care guys, oh and if i cant get my head around it i may donate to a brazilian plastic surgen in Rio who desperatly is seeking fame and fortune in the scene, heheheheh, Pakal you know who you are! Love and light to you all, Psyentist |

hi,
There's a nice tutorial about programming synthesizers available at the Access site, it's aimed at the Virus user and will get you up and running in no time.
