i try to make a rhythm of aqoustic sanres that whould sound realistic and powerfull. my thought it's something like the big sanres at the movies.
i took 4 samples of aqoustic snares ,changed the voulumes of each audio files and change few mili seconds from the start time of each sample. the changes of the samples are not 100% at correlation with each other.
i'm still not sure i made it good enough.
tell me please what do you think. and if you have any suggestions i would be glad to hear it.

i want to use it at psytrance but it's just for the break. it's not supposed to sound like psytrance snare. i want to achieve big orchestral snare.
something like this in a way :

its the marching snare u are talking about.
just get the right samples (i use thomas penton set), and for rolls (1/16 or 1/32 ...)dont forget to set the right envelope.
i have no idea about the natural timing, some people will agree that displacing the samples a few ms will add the extra groove or something. never tried it, because the roll sounds alrdy nice with perfect timing in my sampler.
such snares sounds alrdy full without layering,
but layering oftend does the trick when it comes to percussion.

Give it a nice big reverb with a predelay that is long enough to keep the snappiness of the sound. Make sure it also has enough bottom end. And don't forget only a snare might be a little boring as in your example. Maybe add a hihat and a crash. A drummer isnt only hitting the snare if there is a whole drumkit...
