Amazing line up!
I don't know if im the only one concerned about the quality of the sound in this particular venue... I remember the last party there, with Lemurians, the music was completely distorted if you left the square made up of the 4 speakers... maybe someone knows what I mean by this,
My advice to the promoters: pay special attention to the soundcheck, if u already had this in mind, completely ignore me then...

Hey dandan, this is Ben <light-o-matic>. It's my sound system, not COSMs. I do check the sound before the party and all through the night (It changes as people come in). I didn't hear any major distortion at the Shiva Space Technology party, but yes the area outside the square did have a more muted sound with much less high end. This is probably what you noticed. What I am doing this time is somewhat increasing the size of the "square" so that more people can get in the sweet spot, and also I might tune things a little more differently. BTW 10 speakers are actually used in the system, not counting monitors, with around 5000 watts of amplifier power.

Ultimately it is a compromise situation. The room is fairly wide and if I spread things out too much then it makes the angles unfavorable and will hurt the overall sound.
THen there is the fact that people want different things. Some people want it louder, some lower. Some people want the whole room filled, some want to be able to get away from the sound. Every party I do, no matter how much care I take with the sound, there are always people who love it and people who have problems with it. But I try to please as many people as I can.

hope everybody saved their energy for tonight...now comes some REAL psychedelic trance in a proper environment

one question, how will daylight savings effect the duration of tonight's party?

nice one really nice one - that location is sooooooo amazing and homely. Walked in on lauryn's set and she was bringing the house down with her dark and sometimes drum and bassy sounds ( what was that track anyways?). I think Andrew came after that. This mans set was one of the most tweaked psychedelic music i have heard in a long time - it was such good music and the Sillicon sound and Space cat remixes very absolutely perfectly placed in your set. After andrew had the oppurtunity t listen to the VOC live set. OMFG what a set - it totally blew me away - i wish i was not so tired by then. My feet are still killing me from dancing all night on very little energy reserves. You guys are really really good. Please try and make it to summer festival here this year - would love to hear your music outdoors. Thanks so much for throwing this party - it was well worth it. BTW did anyone find a phone at the party - i seemed to have lost mine

Just what would you like to happen now?

Oh man... Such a kick-ass party! The place was well-decorated, the crowd was really cool, and of course, the music was awesome! I got bored a bit at some point but danced really hard throughout the night! Especially, I really enjoyed Andrew's set. Nice to hear some Silicon Sound tracks, which are my favorites!
I agreee with droozi. I would love to hear their music outdoor. It would be great!
Btw, it seems someone took my jacket (cotton and army green color) by mistake... (I don't wanna believe it was "stolen.") So, please PM me if you have it.

The party had just the right number of people and the location was great ( had a lil trouble figurin out how to get in and then realised the power of sayin "4th floor" ), but i immediately liked wat i saw when i walked in, and the atmosphere was already charged at around 2:00 a.m. The walk upstairs wasnt so bad and there was ample space.

Music:
Colin - Walked in around the end of his set, which culminated with a sick Aphid Moon track. Very cool beats.

Lauryn - I have heard her play before, but i considered this one of her best sets so far. Some excellent, very sexy music, and she looked like she was having fun as well. A nice D'n'B bit in the middle and a screaming Penta track were my highlights.

Andrew - Is a fcukn genius!!!!! One of the coolest sets i have ever heard. Pure class. The melodies, the tweaking, the selection were mindblowing. I desperately want to know the name of the tracks played before and after Silicon Sound - Onida, they seem very familiar (is it a remix of a old track?). I really enjoyed his set

VOC - Finally the headliners which was Colin and Andrew together, and there was no stopping these chaps. I didnt think it could have gotten better but these guys knew wat they were doing. Such friggin fresh music!!! Yes, please come down for the summer fest, everybody needs to hear VOC in the sunny open. Also was nice to meet the both of you.

Decor:
By Uta Beka, which was great as usual. The painted face at the back was cool, and i had heard that the forest thingy had been behind the Dj table in the earlier party and looked good. A little spaced around the decor pieces but otherwise it wasnt bad.

Good crowd, and a number of pretty girls, everybody smiling and dancing happily. Free coatchecks which sounded good till ichi lost his jacket. Wat a bummer! Chill room was a lil small but effective and the snack bar had some cacao and coconut water to sell.

Good times!
